This year's 15th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that a television anime adaptation of Kouji Seo's A town where you live (Kimi no Iru Machi) manga has been green-lit. Shigeyasu Yamauchi is directing the anime at Gonzo, and Reiko Yoshida is in charge of the scripts. Terumi Nishii is designing the characters, while Keiichi Oku is composing the music.

Seo launched the school romantic comedy in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2008 after ending his earlier Suzuka manga in the same magazine in 2007. The manga already inspired two original video anime volumes.

The story begins when a girl named Yuzuki Eba suddenly moves from Tokyo into the countryside home of a high school boy named Haruto Kirishima.

Not far considering Gonzo never was that great of a studio.

I'm gonna assume you don't know what you're talking about or have not seen anything by Gonzo pre-2009.

Really bad decision by GONZO. This is not really a good time to do romance drama anime series because of the high probability of failing. They should stick with something that doesn't have so much drama but Kimi no Iru Machi is not so bad in drama.

The Breaker might be a good action anime. Another good choice is Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo but this is still ongoing. Again!! is an interesting somewhat supernatural manga still ongoing but it already has significant material to easily make a good anime.

My sides hurt from all the laughing, but then I realized how much I enjoyed their older works and now I'm just sad... Why you do this, Gonzo?

I also thing this will be a seriously boring anime. If yoy look back on this manga, The 1st hundred or so chapters were just slice of life pretty much. He didn't even really like Eba.... It wasn't until she had to return home to Tokyo before he realized that he liked her. Then when she finally got him, she dumped him and that went on for a long time.

This manga has been really drug out, most of it is boring. I have been wanting it to end, I just want to know what happenes in the end. now that an Anime is comming, Im afraid it's gona just keep dragging out.

this is the mangakas longest work so far. He last manga was a lot more dramatic but it ended at about 220 chapters I think.

I think this will be a terrible Anime, but then again, theres been a lot of really boring anime lately, so maybe thats what they like in japan.
