y'all remember yamato-taicho? tenzo? the guy whose sole purpose of being on the team was to help naruto control the fox, aka kyuubi aka kurama? hasn't been mentioned for 3 years 4 months? missing even longer?
well, since he seems to miss important things--like the attack on the village--and doesn't seem to be showing up any time soon, here's how i think his appearance will go down:
he'll wake up all dizzy and groggy trying to figure out what happened. he'll remember that the war was going on and freak out, trying to rush to battle and check on naruto. he'll feel the kyuubi chakra and look at his hand. he'll see the numbers start to increase. looking up he'll see naruto and try to hurry. naruto is out of control and the fox chakra is going haywire. looking around, yamato will see a bunch of corpses and assume the worse. as the demon cloak starts to form, he'll try to get closer but will be pushed back. jus when it seems that naruto is lost, everything stops. yamato is stunned for a few seconds as naruto starts to burst out laughing. the "corpses" were zetsu clones or random edo tensei bodies. the plan to go crazy was either naruto's or kurama's (but whose ever it was the other would go along for the sheer hilarity
) tsunade, kakashi, and bee would find it hilarious. gaara would too. the rest of naruto's friends might not show it on the outside, but they'd love it too, laughing on the inside. sai would probably be taking notes on how causing near fatal heart-attacks to a friend can be show as a way of love, either that or laughing, because let's face it, the sai before his brother died and he became part of root had emotions and would have bust a gut laughing (okay, exaggeration, but still!) the rest of the alliance, like raikage and tsuchikage, would probably just sweat-drop and the ridiculousness of naruto and the scene before them. while laughing at yamato's dumb-founded experssion, naruto would explain that he and kurama are allies now, friends even, and what happened while he was gone--again!--like the hokages being back. while enjoying his mental shut-down/break-down, it'd be mentioned that because of their new camaraderie he is no longer needed to help control kurama, especially with hashirama and/or minato there. during all this, it is mentioned/realized that he no longer has a job and yamato promptly faints/passes out/goes unconscious/what-have-you. as he wakes up clutching his head, he panickly recalls the dream he had--only to be informed that it was real and that he is indeed out of a job and probably on his way back to anbu, after he helps restore the landscape that the war oh-so-wonderfully redecorated. he'd get depressed about how he misses everything and go to work muttering about how in anbu at least he'd get to fight and wouldn't have to put up with naruto's craziness.and that's it so far. so people, any thoughts? good, bad, or crazy, i'll take'em all! any add-ons are welcome too! and if you see this in a fanfic, just remember you saw it here first folks! i don't mind if people use the idea, just that a little credit would be nice 'cause me and a friend have been plotting this bit by bit since yamato disappeared. and it was last month that we counted out that he'd been gone for over three years real-time, not anime-time (dragaon ball z anyone? not to mention pokemon--how is ash still ten?!--and that the original naruto spans 1 1/2 to 2 years while shippuden is still less than 1-year) anyway, let the discussion begin!
