I don't know if "blunt" is the best word for it. What I'm looking for is the opposite of the indecisive, flimsy, dense, infuriatingly insecure lead that is common in a lot of shoujos. So, nothing where there's like 200+ pages detailing omg-what-does-it-mean-when-my-heart-goes-thump-thump-and-like -he-omg-he-looked-at-me-am-I-special-but-no-he-smiles-at-everyone -oh-noes-I'm-dying-gah-needless-angst.

She should know what her feelings are and exactly what she's going to do about it. And she should be (fairly) cool about it. Not a total ice queen, but you know, confident? resolute?

Preferably shoujo/josei but if it fits...
And should be romance, obviously.
No smut/ecchi/blah blah

Good example:
Shizuku of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun.
The main character of Shining, in terms of admitting feelings to herself, I guess.
Aaaaand that's about all I can think of atm. LOL.

Kays. Thanks in advance. Sorry about the mini-rant this turned into.

Koi Neko has one very blunt female lead
Maybe Choku!

Both may have bits of fanservice, but they're not really ecchi.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun perhaps? The female lead is the anti-social type, but falls in love hard for the male lead. The romance is a bit ambiguous and slow though, but that's what makes it cool. Perhaps No Longer Heroine might fit? She knows who she's in love with and all. Not too much of your typical female lead.

Woot. Yay. I guess I'll try Akuma to Love Song & Ciel first, since they've been on my wishlist for a while.

And I've already read/am reading Beauty Pop, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Heroine Shikkaku and Warau Kanoko-sama/Koi Dano Ai Dano. But they fit really well so I'll probably re-read them haha.

I was looking for a shoujo/josei actually, but I'll get around to reading the shounen recs sometime. Some of them sound pretty good.

Keep the recs coming? Thanks again. biggrin

Kimi no Iru Machi
female lead is very straight forward, honest and knows what she wants. But its ongoing and the story is already dragging on for like 50-75 chapters (right now it got 220 chapter). Btw its also shonen and by the same author as Suzuka (which was already suggested).

Kiss maybe. The girl is pretty honest about her feeling as far as I remember. Read it awhile ago
Anata ga Ireba I know she's blunt but can't remember how she reacts towards her feeling. I don't know why someone put smut tag in it since I don't consider it as smut.

Baby Love She's very honest about her feeling but this is very shoujo-ish so I'm not exactly sure if you like this kind of manga.

If smut is not a big problem:
Love Blog!! I think this fits what you're looking for. She's honest of how she feels even though it may hurt other people

Dengeki Daisy may be one that you really enjoy. The heroine of this shoujo is straight forward, funny, and clever.
