Well interesting chapter. no more db though. Saw some interesting stuff though. That girl, rebecca, is probably someone we haven't meant before, surprisng considering that everyone we meet should have some sort of backstory or meaning, maybe a new addition to the crew later? The whole kyros thing sounds like some legend and i have a weird feeling that it has something to do with that old gravity guy mentioned before. they might even be the same person! Cavendish will end up being yet another buggy...utterly useless and overestimated. Kinda acts like Sani from Toriko.

If you guys were paying attention, bellamy was mentioned! I can't wait to see his butt get kicked again. Luffy vs Bellamy before Skypiea was my #1 favorite "fight" of one piece.

The chapter was interesting. I really didn't expected that we would see a member of BlackBeard pirates so early. Jesus Burgess is the captain of first ship? Sounds like they adopted Whitebeard's crew system.

About Kyros: Perhaps he disappeared because of Doflamingo? Maybe he's on quest for revenge? Well, the probability of him being Fujitora still exists. We would learn more about him later on anyways.

man, I can't wait for next week or the week after that. And it would be cool to have the strong girl fighter type in the crew like already mentioned above, but I don't think it will be her. Not so sure if he's gonna finish up the Jinbe thing before he starts with another or will that be put on hold until the crew is strong enough to have a former shichibukai as part of the crew....I think it's still too early for that and for the battle with Big Mom. So he'll go with the next member before Jinbe and I really do hope that it's a strong (and perhaps shy/silent~ish) female character unlike the cool and intellectual Robin and the sexy and outgoing type like Nami. Tho I'd rather it be Bonney but that's almost impossible.

P.S. who wants to see the A vs C winners and B vs D winners in trhe semifinals duke it out tournament style and then the winner either gets the prize or fights Diamante for it.

i really think there's a huge chance of rebecca joining the crew, i can virtually see her 20-30 chapter oda-trademark flashback already
its building up, slow and steady
let's see whether luffy creams everyone in his group, or there's a long drawn out battle(with a flashback in between)
but i really think if luffy clears the battle royale law will show up and try and drag him away or something

It kind of makes sense that they would adopt that system, after Blackbeard was part of Whitebeard's crew before he betrayed him. So his style may have its unorthidox like flare it still follows what he may have picked up from Whitebeard. Which reminds me, anyone else wonder what happened to Whitebeard's fleet? Where's Marco too?

Huh, i didn't really notice the whole whitebeard like system thing but it does make sense. I'm actually really excited for the tournament. All good fighting mangas must have a tournament somewhere in the series that gets destroyed by someone incredibly strong (in this case luffy). Battle royale fits this series so much though, getting pumped up to see everyone(especially cavendish) tremble in front of luffy's power, I mean lucy.. which begs the question, what did it say in the japanese raws? is the feminine name just because of bad romantizations? or was it intended?

The real question I'm considered about is rebecca, I'm actually kind of surprised so many people think she will join the crew. The question is when? will it be like sanji, where he joined in the middle of someone elses arc (nami) since technically luffy is still in the middle of trying to get jinbe in which I strongly believe will happen. Also, from the LOOKS of it (she might, but i think its unlikely) she doesn't have a DF. aka theres a possible chance that she might end up eating the mera mera. It will probably be luffy winning the whole thing and once he wins he does something "cool" and goes, ehh I don't need it, and gives it to rebecca, who may or may not have a history with it. (looking forward to her backstory) Besides usopp, everyone has had such a good backstory so far. I know usopp's mom died but compared to sabo(possible death...), kuina, zeff's leg, bellemere, hilluluk, tom, saul, all brook's crew, it doesn't really compare.

I still think the possibility of gravity guy (that's all I can really call him since we don't know his name..), kyros, and fujitora are all the same person is very possible. It's all in theory of course.

Whitebeard's fleet probably split up, kinda like gol roger's crew. Everyone went their separate ways I guess.

I'll buy this. What else is he going to do with it? Unless he doesn't win it...

As for the Kyros theory I believe he was the last king and was then defeated by Mingo and sent to fight for all his life in the arena as a gladiator, and then his daughter(Rebecca) later on as well or together with him was sent there as well.....not sure about all the details but that seems like the best back story and feels like smt Mingo would do after he obtained the title of Shichibukai, like Crocodile, just for a different purpose

I actually like that theory. Sounds plausible. It would explain rebecca's affiliation with the statue.
