You know how people say that a dancer's leg can break a jaw? Or something like that... I want a manga/manwha/manhua/don't care, that a dancer becomes a martial artist and it plays a big role. A bad/okay-ish example would be Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I haven't read the whole thing (just the beginning, but it doesnt seem like the type i want because it become ONLY about karate. Mentioning it even a little bit later on is fine with me. Also please don't bring up a debate about gymnasts not being dancers, it's just my very vague line)
When I say plays a big role, I mean sort it helps them move faster or they kick stronger from it sort of thing.

Closest thing to come to mind was RideBack... but instead of martial arts she rides/pilots a mecha motorcycle type thing...

The anime was unfortunately extremely disappointing (awesome start, then loses itself), but I'm not sure how the manga is...

It's not immediately obvious but keep and eye on the big black dude in Tenjou Tenge. His arc and most of his character development is tying his dance to his fighting [well finding rhythm in his fighting since his style is mostly Coepiera which is Brazilian dance fighting]. Not sure if he was a dancer beforehand though.

Uhmm...hm the only other manga/anime that comes to mind that has anything else like that is Princess Tutu but that's more magic than martial arts....

I'm interested in this too so I'm going to do some digging and report back here with what I find. smile

Most of the ones I can think of are in a fantasy/historical setting.

For instance there's a character in Basara that's a famous dancer who also fights sometimes.

and a dancing character in Xing Gui Shi Tian Kong De Dao Lu that fights, but mainly with a sword...

You may like Double arts cause they use dancing to fight...though its not leg power its for synchronization...

To be honest the way you described it just reminds me of Nononono but that's ski jumping rather than dancing...other than that it ticks most boxes...

I second Double arts, though it got a rushed ending (but it was very nice while it lasted)

Air Master the art is terrifying. Assuming you can get past that, you will find a decent story and interesting fights. You might have to go with the anime for this one since no one has really tried translating the manga. Although Maki's history as a rythmic gymnast is barely touched upon, but apparently she was very good at it before she went on to fighting to try and connect with her dad.

I would suggest you try out Shamo. It is a pretty dark manga but one character that plays a big role happens to be just what you are looking for, though it occurs in the later volumes.

While not dealing with martial arts Peak (IM Gang-hyeok) involves a ballet dancer who becomes a rock climber/rescue EMS officer in a National Park in Korea. His refined sense of balance and timing from the ballet help him a lot in the rock climbing. It's very realistic, both in tone and art but fantastic. I read it all in one night.
