I guess I consider myself a fast reader.
I finished a 36 volumed manga within
a 24 hr time frame. XD

It depends on the manga's plot/story.
If it's intricate and deep I read slower.
If it's a predictable shoujo/seinen
I read much faster.

For manga or normal books? Because I think that's totally different. EDIT: Nevermind, I reread the title. I need caffeine, apparently.

For manga, I think the reading speed depends on how much you look at the art more than anything else, being able to comprehend the text isn't very difficult when you have a visual medium. If it's about frequency, then I would say I probably go through about 0-3 new series a week (depending on their length, if I'm watching an anime, and how busy I am), along with the usual updates.

I'm guessing you mean 1 volume = 1/2 hour. The same here, for the most part. Really depends on how much I actually have to read. I caught up to the current arc in Gantz from the beginning in a few hours, but that series has little dialogue compared to other series, such as Love Hina. which had a considerablly larger amount of dialogue. Also depends if I'm reading a series for the first time (where I go as fast as possible) or re-reading a series (where I take my time and try to spot something I missed).

I tend to read new chapters/volumes through pretty quickly, as I usually can't wait to find out what happens next, but then once i've finished I'll go back and take a bit more time over re-reading it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that, am I? confused

It usually takes me about 30-45 min for a volume. If there's not that much text, then I can finish it faster. From the last set of mangas (complete)--that I remembered, I finished PSME in 8 hours and Tokyo Crazy Paradise in about 12 hours--only because someone kept interrupting me.

Manga? 5-10 minutes per chapter, depends on the plot and how exiting it is. For volumes, it depends on how many chapters there are.

Regular Books? I can read 90-130 pages Per hour. It depends on the story.

As for regular books, I don't really read them that often. I do my best to read one regular book over the summer just to keep up with reading. ^^;

Normally it takes me 45 min to an hour to read one volume. Death Note took a little longer cause there was so much to read. But it still kicked ass! biggrin

15-25 minutes for a volume, longer if there is a lot of writing but i don't absorb every word. What i do is read a second time through, a bit slower to look at all the subtle stuff in a manga
