Wait so sakura has been saving up her chakra for three years and exactly at this moment, during the war of a lifetime, right when sasuke and naruto team up, it appears? That makes perfect sense... Sakura really was never caught up with those two, i mean how can you with amaterasu and rasenshurikens...

Im not completely surprised that everyone wants to be hokage but it still doesnt make much sense. This is likely just something kishimoto thought up a few days ago based off of fans' opinions. Who besides naruto and konohamaru had any desire to become hokage before these chapters?

Im actually kinda hoping that sasuke will do the whole betrayal thing like he did with karin. That was just amazing. Beautifully malicious.

What scares me ...

Naruto is said to be nearing its end but why is the anime still on fillers? this whole month will have fillers meaning they want to be ahead of the manga for at least 8 more chapters, how many chapters is the manga ahead right now?, do they want the anime to end just a lil while after the manga? at the same time? if so... just how many chapter of this war are left? will they be another arc after it? even when kishihimself said this is the climax... hes a troll so i dont really believe anything he says bigrazz but hell! how do they plan to continue it after this? marriage and let the kids start the whole plot again? lol. The biggest trolling i can predit so far is that the fated confrontation Naruto x Sasuke will happen between their kids at the chuunin exam lol and we will see only flashbacks of it to let the anime handle it whole O_o.

Let's call this chapter what it was: fanservice. It's cool shit the fans wanted to see, but it doesn't exactly make sense to the plot or characters. I think Kishimoto hoped everyone who loves Classic Team 7 would be pleased by the chapter, but if you like thinking about story structure and character development, the whole thing ends up looking a little awkward for the reasons xtr3m3dude mentioned. So much has happened between these three characters that it's odd to see them fighting together like Naruto + Sakura still know how Sasuke's mind works. And because Naruto has gotten so strong, Kishimoto had to power him down to make the mini-reunion possible (no sage or kyuubi mode until the last page).

Having said that, I just can't be as bothered about this chapter as the rest of you were. Kishimoto has been doing nothing but fan wish fulfillment ever since this whole Shinobi War arc began, so to me, this Team 7 reunion chapter is just more of the same. I mean, what else can you possibly call one-fingered rasengans, bringing back almost every character ever as zombies, giving Itachi his own battle, letting Naruto fight alongside his dad ...need I go on?

About Sakura: this character development is too little, too late, but certainly better than nothing. For a main character, her lack of development has been really pitiful. Kishimoto made her into a strong ninja pretty much "just because" after the timeskip, but everyone had high hopes for her, like finally she was going to live up to her promise as one of the 3 series leads. And then nothing. Kishimoto made her look weak again and pretty much forgot about her. Sakura should have been doing the forehead thingy ages ago and then unveiling a new technique of her own at this stage, but whatever. At least she's no longer berating herself for being a useless ninja. (A personal pet peeve of mine for females in a shounen series.)

About everyone wanting to be Hokage: Hinata said it's the goal of every ninja, so I think it was meant to look cool, like everyone has finally understood the true meaning of what being a ninja is, not that Naruto has suddenly gotten a bunch of rivals. (It was a joke that fell flat, I agree.) But if Naruto is really the reincarnation of the Sage of the 6 Paths, isn't it kind of a waste to make him the leader of just one village? Kishimoto might decide to make him some kind of super kage, the kage that the other kages answer to, in which case, being Hokage is small potatoes and Sasuke or whoever can have it.

Hear, Hear
Quite an acute observation...

But i still don't like Sasuke mad

I can't say that I disliked the chapter as much as basically everyone else here is! I enjoyed the chapter but merely as a stand alone, like I was trying to not remember everything that has led to that point. I was excited that Team 7 was reunited! And Sakura not being a waste of space -_-

I'm happy that Sakura finally got some sort of power that made her able to hold her own, but I agree that she has in no way caught up with Sasuke and Naruto. I wish she had some sort of development sooner rather than now. If she is a student of the Hokage Sakura should be much more powerful than that! Also, I think it was a joking remark to Naruto and Sasuke of her being Hokage. I think it was her just being happy that her beloved Sasuke was back.
REALLY? How does everyone just accept Sasuke back so easily? I get his whole path up until that point but he did a lot of crazy, serious crap to individuals and the village. No one says, "oh hey man, you've been a huge douche. Get out."? WAT.

I'm mad that Naruto looked like an idiot after all this time of him kicking ass, he was powered down and was told to stay out of the way. Sorry Sakura, but "Sasuke-kun" isn't all that great compared to Naruto and what he has done for the village and the ninja world.

Overall, I liked the reunion and Sakura getting her boost of power. I hated how Naruto seemed to be put in the background by Sasuke showing up and declaring himself to try and be Hokage. I really hope the fanservice chapters get over with. Naruto needs to be fully recognized!

It's not that that's exactly when it appeared, even Kishi isn't that stupid. That's when she activated the jutsu is all. Was it a bit of an asspull? Somewhat. Although that's more likely due to Sakura never having gotten as much screentime as others so we never really knew what kind of things she was learning from Tsunade, and just how adept she was at learning such advanced techniques.
