Yeah it wasn't really that good, but it could have gotten worse. I'd say be happy with what you got 🙂

Oh well, it could have been worse. Though I do always like an epilogue showing what everyone is doing after. Wish him luck on his next work and look forward to it.

It was a happy ending in the end....I guess. It think there were still some loose ends that needed to be tied and not to mention the fact the the manga took a complete turn from where it started.

I think the ending was rushed and also kind of confusing. Why did he have to fight this alien-champion-dude anyways? How did this change the fact that the ship would self-destruct and destroys earth?

The ending was fine, but an epilogue would have been a lot better.

The franchise is far from over still he is writing other mangas/novels in the universe and if his career takes a nosedive he can always continue kurono´s story. Or sell the rights to Hollywood. But the last chapter was ok we couldn´t ask for more i guess.

A giant slap in the face to anyone who ever bothered to read past the shit that was the last 100+ chapters. I can't believe one of the most promising mangas I've read turned into a giant turd over time.

It was a great manga, right up until the giant alien spaceship, at this point it became retarded with that "god" creature, and the huge aliens on that spaceship and on earth. Don't even get me started on the ending, that rushed sh.it is an ending?

• somehow the suits can let the people breath?? in outer space when they go down to earth with those motorcycles at the end.
• somehow they do not die while passing the atmosphere AND land in water(with who knows what speed they were falling down) even though it was clearly shown before that those suits don't make you invincible.
• somehow.... OFC they drop in the water near Tokyo.... RIIIIGHT.
• after 2-3 days (as said by them in the water) they are on the shore near toyo.... and tae is still in that dirty shirt she was left in? da fuq? D:
  Way too many mistakes in 1 chapter to eat. I do not recognize this ending! It wasn't done by the same person that did the chapters before this one, it was done by ALIENS, or the cleaning lady!

I read something that he rushed the ending because of some Hollywood deals that would expire if he didn't finish the manga. How can you sell your dignity/pride like that. How can you make us go through that last shi.tty arc and actually give us this rushed ending. ugh.

13 years, 37 volumes, 383 chapters. What an accomplishment for such an author. I really wish he expanded on all of these "points" and didn't implement the "end of the world" portion. But there were some amazing concepts introduced in this arc. Somethings I would've never expected.

Here's to Gantz. One of the greater series that manga has come to know, even if the ending wasn't everything we hoped it would be. Good luck on the author's new projects.

I'm dissapointed too. At the last arc as a whole, and specially the ending. It never was my favorite manga but I liked how nothing made sense, the characters running like lab rats in a deadly maze. I think at some point the mangaka didn't know anymore what he wanted to do with the characters or the story. The chapters where they speak to the "divine aliens" are really lame, the mangaka tried to sound philosophical failing badly, don't get why so much 2chan and armaggedon like scenes of the people of the world, so much crying, and I could go on and on. For me the "at least there was an ending" is not comforting at all. What a let down.

350+ chapters and you'd think he could of spared 1 tiny chapter to talk about where the damn balls and suits came from to begin with. And also, who were those weird creatures and statues they fought in the beginning.

My opinion is, the japanese are great at starting a story and setting up a good interesting plot, but they are terrible when It comes to keeping up a good story and they are downright disastourous at endings.

I guess that's what happens when you don't think the whole story through. Too many pages wasted with people crying, no explanations for anything... Oh well, it was still a good read.
