I'm looking for a romance manga in which either the main character or love interest (not both) either has a disability (deaf, blind, mute, paralyzed, etc.) or a special ability (Can see dead, heightened senses, Voice that can put someone to sleep, etc.) and faces difficulty with being/communicating with others/isolation.

I hope that the other character can help them come back into society and overcome their disability/ ability.

Example:

- Beast Master (Male is shunned because he is beast-like, girl helps to show people he's pretty cool) Also, side note, I hope the manga can be somewhat more mature but I did like Beast Master
- Kingyo Sou: Male is deaf, girl learns sign language and helps him adjust to having more people and doing more things
- There's is another manga that I can't think of the name but the guy has a voice that can put people to sleep and the girl befriends him and helps him fight crime!

Any other ideas?

Do they have to be physical disabilities?

Bitter Virgin (by Kusunoki Kei) is a great story about a girl dealing with the severe psychological trauma of being raped in middle school and impregnated twice by her stepfather. I highly, highly, highly recommend it, it is absolutely fantastic and superbly well done. The emotions and drama in it are so heart-wrenching.

Second recommendation, does it count if everyone thinks the main character has special powers and avoids her because of it, even though she's just a normal girl who acts awkward and creepy? If you're fine with that, go with Kimi no Todoke (by Shiina Karuho). It'll give you the warm-and-fuzzies in pretty much every chapter.

For some more straight recommendations:

My Lovely Ghost Kana (by Tanaka Yutaka) would have been absolutely fantastic, except it was abruptly cancelled after 3 volumes for some strange reason. The main character falls in love with the ghost that committed suicide in his apartment 10 years ago. It's very fun, light-hearted, and quite a bit more "mature" than you may be looking for (they have sex in almost every chapter). If it wasn't cancelled and had a proper ending, I could recommend it without hesitation.

Angel Densetsu (by Yagi Norihiro, same guy currently doing Claymore) isn't much of a romance, but it is a nice comedy that looks along the same line as Beast Master. The main character is a nice, diligent student, but because of his demonically scary face, everyone thinks he's a terrible guy who's going to kill them if they look at him wrong. It doesn't help much that he has a few weird mannerisms that absolutely terrify people, like uncotrollably shouting a demonic shriek (KIEEEEEEH!) when he gets excited or agitated about something. It's hilarious.

Mysterious Girlfriend X (by Ueshima Riichi) is a weird one. The main character and his girlfriend have a weird bond where if they taste the other's spit, they can feel the other person's emotions. It's quite funny.

Princess Lucia (by Seo Kouji) is about a demon princess trying to get knocked up by a certain human boy to produce a child that can destroy the Earth. It's alright. Seo also does Kimi no Iru Machi (The Town Where You Live), which is a good, normal romance story, and Suzuka, which is also good up until the incredibly stupid ending that made me want to totally bitch-slap both of the main couple.

Tenshi na Konamaiki Cheeky Angel (by Nishimori Hiroyuki) is about a boy that was transformed into a girl 6 years before the start of the story by a magic book, and his quest to revert himself back to normal.

Midori no Hibi [Midori's Days] (by Inoue Kazurou) is about a delinquent guy who wakes up one day with a girl stuck to his right arm in place of his hand. Furthermore, the girl has a crush on him.

I'm kind of surprised I had so many.

For the special ability part, definitely try Kotoura-san, the female lead has ESP and is pretty much isolated from friends, family, etc. (Could also try the anime, if you dislike 4-koma.)

And some categories, if you want to take a look at them: Disability and ESP.

As for your last request, I think it's Akaku Saku Koe.

Kind of reminds me of Can't See Can't Hear But Love. But it's both leads who have disabilities here.

I second Can't See Can't Hear But Love, another great webcomic is The Friendly Winter. Maybe Eien no With, seconding Akaku Saku Koe and Taiyou no Uta. Natsume Yuujinchou is great and fits the "special ability" + lonely character. Koe no Katachi is a perfect oneshot! Kiss to Koukai has a oneshot too... Abe Seimei Koikatari has a blind girl. Full Moon wo Sagashite is a classic, but it involves more "disease" than "disability"... Maybe Only You - Tobenai Tsubasa? Rakuen (SAKURAKOUJI Kanoko) first story. Sad Love Story, blind girl. Without the Sun, blind girl. Flower (WADA Naoko)... D-ASH, disable girl. Limited Lovers!

Does Yurara no Tsuki count? There's also the sequel but... so far, there's no definite sign of romance.

Took the time to read a few of them I really like them!

I've read Bitter Virgin & Yurara no Tsuki before and I think they both met the criteria.

Of all the recommended ones I have read

Kotoura-san- Was good! It was kind of short but I enjoyed it nonetheless

Taiyou no Uta- Great, made me cry! There wasn't any romance but I loved the relationship between the girl and her dog.

Rakuen (SAKURAKOUJI Kanoko)- Really liked this though they didn't show her actually being blind just events leading up to it.

I'll continue looking at the ones you all recommended! Thanks

Teiden Shoujo to Hanemushi no Orchestra-This is the first one that I thought of, mc is blind and is cared for by his adoptive mother who's a pixie type thing.

Doll star- is shunned because of hercreepy pschological doll powers. Pretty sure she gets a friend down the line, but not a love interest to my knowledge...that would turn into a comedy >_>

Godseeker-Th girl/boy duo are the mc's and the girl is blind and has incredible magic powers and not so much outcast but targeted and kept hidden.

Smargs won't sing-Its more about sisterly love than romantic love. One of the girls is mute and if i say much more it'll give it away, only a oneshot.

Takeru - opera susanoh sword of the devil and its prequel Oguna - opera susanoh sword of the devil-More the friendship than romantic love, because one of the takeru's helps the socially awkward penguin to be more outgoing.

Pale horse-The girls thought of as a witch, ale love interest sticks up for them. Don't know how the story progresses after that, I only read the first couple of chapters because I can't really deal with webtoons.

Kaizoku to ningyo-more a friendship thing, though its slightly shounen ai, so its technically a couple? dunno. Anyways mc is a mermaid and the pirate protects him, as the title suggests XD

Landreaall-male mc is on a quest to help the love interest. The love interest is a ghost type thing, thus hardly anyone can even see her. His quest is to make her into a person again.

Ann cassandra-Boy can see the future, he's shunned for it and the new girl believes in him and helps him.

Hell's angels-One of the girls hardly says anything, has that typical outcast attitude, and the female mc gives her the benefit of the doubt. Non romantic, just friendship.

Princess mononoke and Spirited away-You've probably watched the movies already though and the manga is basically a collecton of print screens from the film with text. So yeah, mainly watch the films if you haven't and if you have then there is a manga if you particularly want to try it.

Shuna no tabi-Male mc helps two sisters that are slaves, no real disability other than that.

[m]Lisollette to majo no mori[/m]-The guy is a witch's familiar or something which most people would shun and the girl is an exiled princess. So in this its two outcasts attract.

Kazan-Boy outcast himself cause of his past and the fact that he didn't age for (10?) years and there's a girl that looks like the one he used to know so they go on a journey partnership. This one is pretty romantic.

Kizu (KIYOHARA Hiro)-This is just best friends, but one boy has the power to heal and the other one befriends him.

Beyond the beyond-the boy befriends one wandering weirdo after the other but i was mainly thinking of virid who he picks up last. He does have some romantic feelings towards the girl though it seems.

Tegami bachi-picks up a weird creature and makes her his familiar type thing.

Nishi no yoki majo-This ones romantic. The guy had a hard childhood (well beginning part, like till 5/6 ish) but then met firiel so became less introvert. He has rebellious thoughts and researches concepts deemed 'heresy' by the kingdom but she chooses him over the kingdom.

kimi no kakera-Also sort of romantic/ sort of friends but the boy has a weird split personality and is this thing that lots of people are after but the girl goes with him anyways.

Dazzle-This is also romantic, has the guy who, when she first met him, had a gun pointed at some guy's head in an alleyway and he also has red eyes....along with magic powers and a bad personality. Though she makes it her goal to make him have fun or something and then off adventuring they go.

Issho ni neyou yo-He wears a mask and she's shy and she ends up as housemates with him and they seem to be falling in love (is as far as i got into the story.)

Number 6-the one guy lives in the slums and has a bad personality and the other one comes from the rich town place but they have a childhood connection and one saves the other and the one from the rich side is now sticking with bad personality dude. Friendship mainly with some shounen ai thrown into their relationship, well ok quite a bit lol.

I have few friends-about outcasts with no friends who make a club for making friends. Doesn't have the disability or super powers, but some just have such abysmal personalities -__- thats got to count towards a disability when making friends lol.

Ran to haiiro no sekai-she's outcast in school because...I'm not sure why....but one of the boys starts being friends with her (was only bullying cos he was shy) and she can use magic.

ÅŒkami Kodomo no ame to yuki-falls in love though he's a werewolf.

Otome Youkai Zakuro-youkai and military join forces as part of peace treaties and the such. Some of the people have prejudices against youkais still but some manage to get over this barrier and fall in love.[/m]

0 no soukoushi-has a really strong sense of smell, so he has a difficult personality but (his cousin?) still sticks by him.

Yaotsukumo-fell in love despite him being immortal. Is an outcast due to his role in the past in the eyes of some.

Kage ni saku hana-fell in love despite him having a demon in him, social outcast cause of that.

Love sick-mc gets 3 guys with different extremely unusual medical conditions to fall in love with her.

Me and the devil blues-also fits, but its not love, its just a sort of heist partnership that borders on friendship. Though when bonnie comes in there is bonnie and clyde's romance...

Aoi kiseki-becomes mute due to an accident, romantic.

Then there's the oneshots: Akai sato no tengu, Monster and child, Rasen no kioku, Mugen dokei, Kirara to shiro ookami and Kazekaze no hito.
