I'm looking for manga with plot, where the story develops into something deeper than it seems at the beginning. I also like manga where a relationship actually develops between a guy and a girl. Some of my favorites r D.gray man( i like the characters and how the story progresses XD), skip beat, koukou debut, fruits basket(er...), bitter virgin( not really related to the topic), FMA, and some I can't remember at the moment. cry

Ummm how about Beck. You can really see how the peoples personalities clash and mesh together, and there is a decent amount of romance. Its a bit depressing at times, but still a great manga. It left off at a great point too. Someone scan ch 93 and on plz!

I'm reading Kagen no Tsuki right now and it's quite interesting. Not A LOT of romance, but enough to flavour the plot =)

Katekyo Hitman Reborn. The first volumes it seems like a fun and games gag manga, but eventually the dark side of the Mafia world is revealed (it takes a while thought). I wouldn't call anything in this series real romance.

Hana Yori Dango. You didn't mention it so maybe you haven't read it yet?

Claymore for a developing story. At first its just chicks fighting monsters in tight clothes while swinging big swords, but ohh, it grows to so much more.

Fushigi Yuugi and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, I perfer the Genbu one by the way. Good story and good romance. IMHO Genbu is better done and a bit more mature.

Kare Kano (his and her circumstances) is a good romance but it's a character based series so there's no great journey or battle or anything but there is more below the surface than first it seems.

X by clamp, deep, beautifully drawn, however, um, a lot of love intrests die. Plus Kamui goes from bad ass to emo >_>. That's just my opinion tho.
