a fight with brains or martial arts, nothing over the top where the people fighting are so powerful that they create huge smoking craters with every punch, I really hate that kind O.O

I've been more fond of both martial arts and magical type fighting.

lol at "knowledge fight"! You're making it sound so nerdy... Death Note was pretty nice though.
Edit: I like the type of fights like in Mx0.

Realistic fighting is the best, I like everything to be realistic
Maby I don't have a good fantasy...
Well I dunno, what I "DO" know is that I love everything that's realistic like movies, comics, books and manga is also included of course... etc

Realistic if I had to choose one. My fav fight (can't remember manga) was actually a wizard versus a highly equipped solder. That was sweet.

I like all the types but i like fights where u see the characters use a variety of weapons and not just sticking with core hand-to-hand or magic types but if i HAD to choose ill stick with magic swords and martial arts =D

I like two types the most; there are other types I like though:
Highly technical while being realistic, though I don't mind it being a little supernatural as long as it's explained properly—without relying on Deus-ex Machina.
Best example of what I've read so far/remember:
Holyland
Eden
Kiseijuu
Noritaka
Mx0(sorta)
The second type I like most is where the main character just kicks huge amounts of ass. Blood flies everywhere while people explode and limbs get torn apart. This, combined with an amusing story makes it highly entertaining.
Best examples of this:
Berserk
Riki-oh
AIKI
Ares

I'm game for any sort of fight, as long as it's MEANINGFUL.
I get tired of those fights where the loser is spared/escapes only to return later to fight AGAIN. What was the point, then? Battle Royale was great in that each battle/confrontation was significant (not to mention that the losers did NOT walk away).
Ex: Team Rocket in Pokemon, always being defeated, always coming back. You could cut out 90% of their battles and the overall plot wouldn't be affected at all.
(Sorry for the cheesy example, but it was the only one I could think of off the top of my head.)
