I voted for no romance (since I have no soul cool cool cool ).

Well, actually I've been known to cheer for a particular couple or two. But I generally don't like how romance is presented, so it's something I'd rather not see, even though it's in practically everything. But if it's done nicely it's OK. But I'm pretty particular about what makes romance enjoyable. Bla, bla, bla.

One pair is enough. Add elements of drama here and there, ok but when there is a love triangle permanently part of the story, that's just annoying but in shoujos, they're hard to get away from

I absolutely don't like reverse harems because in most cases, the heroine is pathetic. I usually avoid them. Harems on the other hand, it depends....

Multiple couples is alright when they each get their own story but when they mix things up (end up dating each other), nah....

But if it's a manga that can work without romance, I prefer it not to so when people start some thread talking about romance, I get annoyed since there are a lot more important things going on and romance is something that can take a back seat.

now THAT is a very complicated diagram bigrazz ...

Well, I have a diagram here that is slightly less complex, but still focus quite a bit on their relationships, its yaoi though.

Where the pierced heart means "Used to love" and also happens to be "First Love" in both of the cases here in this diagram.

I like love triangles, but only when they're done right, which is rare. It shouldn't be obvious from page 1 who the main character is going to end up with, which is what usually happens. It also has to have the right pacing. Love triangles shouldn't last 50+ chapters. After a while, it's gets tiresome and annoying. But for me, that's the same with any love story. I hate when things are drawn out, and couples deal with the same problems/misunderstandings over and over again.

Well, let's see... I'm not a big fan of romance to begin with (some romance is fine, but I don't want to read a series that's only about romance). I also don't like angsty romantic drama (people getting anxious about who likes whom, romantic rivalry, breakups, being sad about how so-and-so doesn't like them back, etc.), so polygons and harems are out. So... I guess I'll pick just one couple as my favorite... although I don't really care between one or multiple couples (but no polygons), as long as there is no drama and it's not a major focus for the series.

I don't like love triangles as I always end up rooting for the guy/ girl that won't get the guy/girl in the end and I don't like harem or reverse harem as a lot of people end up single in the end , I tend to like lots of couples biggrin

Curry, the most important part of the chart.

although to be fair, Junjou Romantica is more like 3 separate inter-related 1-pairing series (with various lovestruck and ex-crush side characters added in) woven together... so it doesn't really get that confusing because you only ever have to deal with one storyline at a time.
