I don't even follow Naruto, but I think it's probably the tragedy/angst aspect of it. The hopelessness of it all? Or at least, that's why I might like it. And they look together.

Oh, and I guess people that like NaruHina might support it, so that it doesn't interfere with their ship. ^^;;

Pretty much.

i think people generally ship them because they want naruto to end up with hinata and not with sakura.

Probably never knish imouto won't want to cause trouble by choosing a side so he'll leave his fans debating it till the end, Naruhina fans(myself) just want a place to dump Sakura in, and sasuke is the best candidate seeing as she's still in love with him.

I myself doesn't ship sasusaku, but kind of encouraging them for a bit. Because it's far better than Sakura end up with Naruto. (ugh, I hate even the thought of it) it would even be better if both of them just die (gomene, saku/sasu fans! ) I didn't hate Sakura before, it's all started when she faked her confession Hinata is far better. (I'm getting fired up here lol)
