Recommend me an anime series with a cool/interesting setting. Preferably a male protagonist but level header tom boy female protagonist like in Ghost in the Shell is good. Newer series is preferred (2010-) unless something is older than 2010 that is really good (though most likely I may have seen it).
Give me a name (year)- one to two words describing the setting, one or two words describing the plot, and a rating out of 10 as a whole.
Since I don't particularly know your taste, I gonna have a control series here that is popular but I am not gonna said if I like that series or not. Give a rating to that one also.

She raises magical beast and later fights a war with them. She has rediscovered abilities that her ancestors used to have .
Hanasakeru seishounen---> Complete
It a shoujo and the description may be off and unappealing but there is alot of political intrigue , action and drama. Dirty politics at it finest.

The first ones that come to mind are probably anime that you have seen but will recommend anyways.
Anime from 2010+
Fate/Zero - A modern fantasy story revolving people fighting in a battle royale themed fights with only last man standing rated 9-9,5.
Steins;Gate - A modern sci fi ish story about a "scientist" can't really say anything more without spoiling rated this series a 8,5.
Angel Beats - Fantasy world in a modern setting where the main protagonist wakes up in a world where students are fighting a certain being would rate this series 8 had the potential to be an 9 but was to short and lacked at certain aspects.
Other series but older ones I would recommend would be FMA brotherhood and Baccano.
Personally I would rate SAO 6 but would rate it at 7,5 if it was only the SAO arc would be rated less had the animation and the soundtrack not been so bloody godlike.

Not so much of an adventure type, but "hataraku maou-sama" from spring 2013 is very good, the girl acts like a tomboy and the guy is the dense nice guy type.

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (2009-2010): Fantasy-ish mecha-action with some school-life harem elements. Won't say much else about the plot other then this, it's related to Tenchi Muyo so if you've seen that you got some idea what to expect... 9, would get a perfect 10 if it was longer/had a sequel, not that I dislike the ending or anything but... (I haven't given up hope yet
). One of the best I've watched (actually watched it 8 times now). OVA 13 eps ~45 mins. AWESOME opening.

Two words- Code Geass(2006-2009) Set in an alternate timeline in which Britiania controls more than a third of the world. Ex prince Lelouch is trying to make the world a better place for his little sister and along the way create a better world. It might turn you off because of the Knightmares (Mechs) but it surprisingly wouldn't work without them.
A much older anime series that is pretty badass ( I really am not a fan of old anime...to be truthful)- Slayers. Nuff said.
Legend of the Legendary Heros (N/A) Really really cool anime. I can't really explain it, but its good.
Chrome shelled Regios (N/A) Also really cool. Also hard to explain, but trust me, its good.

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet-->It mecha but its awesome!! Is a nice refresher to all the mechas out there (2013)
The Vision of Escaflowne--> Its old but its so awesome. Several plot twits which is a plus. Very complex universe with several different species of humans

-Death Billiards 2011 (only 1 episode but also a twisted and unique survival game) All time favorite!!!
-Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi 2008 (old but idk if you've seen it. Centered around a women who absorbed a seed from the tree of live and given eternal life. But the plot is much more intricate than it appears and I would hate to spoil it.)
-Switch 2009 (again old and short but kinda of a survival game as well. Gang/drugs/deception involved)
-Arve Rezzle 2013 (I dropped it because it's sci-fi)
