I just read read chapter 246. He told his friend they might be in another long distance relationship. If memory serves me correctly, they were never really a long distance relationship because she broke up with him without telling him and started to date that sick guy.

I have 2 comments on the matter.... 1. He should know from experience that she doesnt do long distance relationships. Hes dumb if he even tries.

2. If i were in a serious relationship and i felt without a doubt that she was tne one, i would t take a job tnat would move me across the country unless she was willing to go with me. However, she could teach anywhere. It doesntreally have to be that big of a problem. Its not like its his dreamjob.

I dont think could move across the country by myself after living with my girlfried for over 2 years. Its really hard tobelieve he did t discuss this with her before hand. Manga sure has the habit of taking what would be simple problems in real life and turning them into giant pieces of drama. If they plan on getting married one day soon, then one of them will have to give up their job so they can be together,

So, there are a few reasons why this is a great move by Seo-sensei. It's very common for people to move in work. Especially in Japan where you get told where you will be moving mere weeks before the move, but you've secured a job nearly a year in advance.

One thing here is that they were dating, and dating for a bit, while in a long distance relationship. If you remember how Haruto got a small job to buy her the necklace she's always wearing, and when he went to Tokyo for their school trip. The whole Nanami situation that in-suede during that trip indicated that Yuzuki still had major feelings for him at the time.

Now the big key point. Yuzuki has done Haruto wrong in long distance relationships. She crossed so many lines at that moment. She hurt him so bad that it actually still affects them. It is the main reason why they do not really talk about Kazama anymore either.

The key difference between then and now is that Haruto and Yuzuki are in a much more committed relationship and have been living together for about 2+ years. They have even admitted to being in this relationship for the long run (aka marriage). They are a much more solid couple than when they were back then. However, those pains that were inflicted will still sting. Haruto will worry about their relationship and there is a good chance that we will not get to see much of Yuzuki. This adds a new point that many couples in their situation have to deal with to the series. How to survive the distance.

I get what your saying, I really do. However, he knew there was a 50/50 chance of this happening and I still find it annoying that it didn't try to discuss this with her 1st. When your in a relationship, you just don't keep those types of things to yourself, even in Japan. If they do plan to get married one day, one of them will sooner or later have to give up their job and move to where the other one is. So they can either solve this problem now or later, but it wont solve itself. I think he will end quitting the job to become a cook, since that's what the manga has been hinting at.

I do agree that he probably still feels strong pain regarding the hurt she caused him. Matter of fact, in real life, I don't think a couple could ever move beyond that pain. Sure, the pain may decrease some, but the guy would always feel a bit insecure which would lead to future problems. If he moves 400 miles from her, it's going to drive him nuts wondering if this is the end. There's no telling what Seo-sensei has planned. I would like to see this manga end soon. Seo has a thing for unplanned preganancy so I've been half expecting her to end of pregnant.

Haruto is really a doormat though and that's one of the things I get tired of. Like when she got pissed at him a few months ago and disappeared for a week. He was desperate to do anyhing to get her back even though he didn't do anything to warrent that kind of treatment to begin with. For once I would like to see him get pissed and go off for a while and see her desperate for once.

Like HontouRakuda said, this is basically an arc setup for testing their bond as the distance between them physically separates them for each other, again.

And about this.

I actually think that he may ask or end up getting transferred to a Tokyo branch at the end of the arc because the company has branches all over Japan. Also, it would probably be a bad move for Haruto to go and quit a job for a good looking company also considering he may not want to disappoint that one guy who helped him land the job. On the other hand Yuzuki is bound to Tokyo for her alma mater teaching career, so either Yuzuki gets a new job where Haruto goes, highly unlikely, or Haruto goes back to Tokyo somehow.

The way I see it, this arc will have them struggling with their relationship, maybe one is accused of cheating on the other, reconciliation, then Haruto moves back to Tokyo one way or another. That's my prediction anyway.

You guys are probably right. I just hope this arc doesn't go on forever with lots of drama. It would be kind of funny if she did what she did the last time they were separated. One other thing, didn't he still have some college left?

Suzuki had a happy ending but that poor guy went through living hell to get there. This manga for the most part hasn't had much drama except when he first came to tokyo and then when they finally got back together. And then there was that time she got mad at him and disappeared for a week. Other than those 3 times, it's been as easy going story. Suzuki on the other hand was filled to the rim with drama.

Hell, Seo may pull a fast one on us and they may break up and then after a 10 - 20 year time skip they run into each other again. Wouldn't that be a suck ass ending.

They got just about a month left in college. They graduate sometime in March and in April either the new school year begins or work. Everything basically begins in April. Now for Haruto, he asked around in the company how often people get transferred after he got hired. It is such a touchy subject for both of them that they avoid it. They have such a hard time getting onto this topic because it is so depressing and bad.

On a side note, many people get transferred in Japan to other places, and their partners stay in the area. It is so common that it is almost clique. I am honestly looking forward to some drama. Seo has been solving almost every big major event in like 3 chapters. Akari, one of his best friends, gets married out of the blue (the end). Takashi, another best friend, gets his girlfriend pregnant and marries her (the end). This job hunting arc took what, 5 chapters? I hope he tries to make a longer story with this arc.

I somehow feel that this may be the last, if not one of, arc. What other problems do they have yet to solve. Haruto may have to find a place to stay in Hochi(was that its name) but other than that what?

Parents met? Check.
Akari? Check.
Takashi? Check.
Kazama? Check.
Asuka? Check(she's come to terms with the fact that her and Haruto will never be together again but maybe...)?
Rin feelings settled(same as Asuka but maybe...)? Check?
Weird chick who believed she was going out with Haruto(Seriously hated her and felt she was completely useless to the manga tbh)? Thank god Check.
Who am I missing?
