I'm wanting an anti-hero(ine) to be/fall in love with a pure or nearly pure character. This love should lead the protag to question their methods and possibly even their motives. The protag needs to be viewed as monstrous in some fashion, either in method or power level would be best.

The pure needs to be actually pure of heart, not naive, a little naivete is okay so long as it's not to the point of being a character flaw. Please no Yaoi/Yuri/Shounen-Ai/Shoujo-Ai for the main pairing. Side pairings may be of any orientation.

This is best described as the dynamic in Superior between Sheila and Exa.
An alternate example could be Johane and Euda in Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen.

Currently on hold with Shi ga Futari o Wakatsu Made until the story starts to show better cohesion. I found myself losing interest repeatedly, though I could be convinced to start it over if enough people say that it gets better.

Please screen recommendations against my lists. I don't mind people seconding ones that I have read for the benefit of those who stumble upon this topic. biggrin

Thanks in advance to all who post!

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo perhaps

Protag is not a monster, but more of a social outcast

Dr. Frost The romance part is barely-there as of the scanlated chapters, but I'm fairly sure that there is more to come.
ES Akiba.
Seigi no Mikata As in the sister and her poor husband. It's a slapstick-style comedy and I don't know if it fits what you're looking for but it's incredibly enjoyable.
Cheese in the Trap Not Sul, but Yoo Jung. Maybe. I still can't decide whether he's evil or sociopathic or just misunderstood. The author keeps us on our toes.
Hoshi wa Akatsuki no Kage and Boku no Kan de Bansan o both oneshots
maybe Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o oneshot, very subtle romance.
Ludwig Kakumei might also fit but I don't really remember how "pure" the girl he falls in love with was.
Gar to Ouji-sama another oneshot. It's quite cutesy so I don't know if you'll like it.

These don't fit perfectly with what you want, but they might make do I think

Immortal Rain happens later but not with the main pairing. It could be viewed as friendship too I guess. Pretty awesome series

The Tarot Cafe The focus isn't really on his moral dilemmas unfortunatley. But we know he has some problems with not knowing what really he should do Because of her. I think he becomes a bit of a better person tho.

Gwisin Byeolgok Fits, although I wonder if the author decided to do a weird personality flip on him....

Dokuhime This is a seriously awesome story if you don't mind a bit of horror. The 3 boys all have a certain... dark problem (such as the urge to massacre bunnies) and their relationship with Lycoris helps them change that part with themselves.

Kobato. maybe, although the love interest is neither monstrous nor evil, just a stubborn recluse who acts very cold and harsh to the MC.
