Age:
Name one of your favourite comics/manga? (Any one but please just one)
What do you like about it? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
What do you look for in a comic/manga? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?
Anything else you would like to say?
Thanks a bunch.

F.
18. (19 tomorrow).
The Prince of Tennis.
The plot is very simple: a middle school tennis team competing in a tournament.. and the art is not that clean.. but what I really liked about it are the characters.. and the crack (I guess that goes with the script?).
I'm not really looking for anything specific. I just read whatever appeals to me.
Yes.
I read more in black and white.. but I'm not really sure if I prefer one over the other.
You mean "right to left" format? It's what I'm used to, so yes.
I hope my answers help you! And sorry if I've misunderstood any of your questions...

Name one of your favourite comics/manga? (Any one but please just one)
Nana.
What do you like about it? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
The believability of the characters. It's a very realistic manga that actually deals with feelings that real people have felt before. And I love great character stories that have no need for villains.
What do you look for in a comic/manga? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
Character. Sometimes even the most dull story can become interesting with the right characters.
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
Not really. It has to be a combination of good elements. If the plot is good but the artworks sucks, I can't read it. Manga is a visual medium, after all.
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?
Black and white. definitely. It doesn't feel like manga with colored pages.
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?
Yes.
Anything else you would like to say? Errr, hi? XD
Thanks a bunch.

Name one of your favourite comics/manga? Beck
What do you like about it? Characters. The relationship with others, those they love, those they like and hate and the deep/shallow reasons behind it as well as the growth or lack of growth throughout the volumes when the begin their journey.
What do you look for in a comic/manga? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character) Mostly story. But honestly, it's a mix of everything. I can handle a poor artwork if it has an interesting story and characters, but it will no doubt have some effect on how I feel about them.
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character). No, I'm quite picky about what I choose to read. So it would have to be something well drawn in my eyes and has an equally interesting story to go with it. No manga has had me read it because of just one thing.
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages? Black and white for story pages, but I do like coloured pages when there is artwork and no dialogue. B/W makes the drawings clearer, and places more emphasis on the dialogue than try to attract you to just the artwork.
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout? Of course. I would prefer to read manga in it's true original layout and text (Japanese, chinese, korean if i could) since the mangaka intended it that way. Changes made to art/layout/format may effect how it's meant to be perceived.
Anything else you would like to say? Good luck on thesis. HTH

Name one of your favourite comics/manga?
One Piece
What do you like about it?
characters: very unique personalities and firm beliefs
art: matches the feel of the manga well and cpliments the characters' personalities
premise: i like pirates with super powers hunting for fame and fortune/power humor: i find its jokes amusing
drama: can be very serious and a real tear jerker at times
morals: has a support of loyalty to freinds and pursuit of dreams
What do you look for in a comic/manga?
character
overall style (e.g. i'm not liking the narrative that replaces diolouge in the newer hunter x hunter chapters)
art - don't care for shoujo type art or art that looks like a sketch
plot
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you?
i would read a chapter or two if only one thing cought my eye, but unless i found more i liked i wouldn't read the whole thing
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?
black/white
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?
if you mean right to left then yes
if you mean on paper then yes.
if you mean in japanese then yes(if it's easy enough for me to read)

Name one of your favourite comics/manga?: BioMeat: Nectar. (Although Claymore is tied with it.)
What do you like about it?: The Plot, the violence, the characters and the violence. =D
What do you look for in a comic/manga?: Good Plots, good character reactions, and lots o' violence(or at least good, strong characters.).
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you?: Indeed. Sometimes I can hate the plot, but I love the characters so much, I don't care.
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?: I don't care.
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?: I don't really care.
Anything else you would like to say?: I don't always need lots o' violence in my manga, but its preferred. Sometimes REALLY good characters can make me read something that isn't violent in the slightest.

Name one of your favourite comics/manga?
No. 5
What do you like about it?
It's completely unconventional and hyper-surreal, and has influenced my personal art style forever.
What do you look for in a comic/manga?
Generally, a short enough series (4 vols. at best), unique artwork, grabbing cover, non-cliched characters, and usually has to be Seinen.
Have you ever read a comic/manga just because one thing appealed to you? (e.g. plot, artwork, script, character)
Yes, I picked up Ode To Kirihito just because it was huge, and Abandon the Old In Tokyo because it was hardback and "alternative"
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?
I don't mind either, as long as the colouring's well done
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?
It doesn't bother me whatsoever, it doesn't take away from my reading experience.
Anything else you would like to say?
Buy more Tezuka, people!

Plot, characters, and originality. Artwork is less important than those two.

I used to when I first started reading manga (focused on plot), but not anymore.
Do you prefer black and white or colour pages?
Black and white. Though the occasional color pages are nice.
MANGA: Do you prefer reading manga in its original layout?
Yes, manga was not meant to be read in a bound paper format, not on a digital screen.
Anything else you would like to say?
Good luck on thesis.
