I'm wondering if you could recommend some mangas with certain themes? <|^.^|>

Romance is extremely important and the setting of university. I also wish the main couple are good childhood friends that got separated for some reasons, but meet again in university. Now, in university, they fall in love, although, it doesn't have to be immediatelly.

Here's a summary of what I'm looking for ^^

- romance
- set in university/college (high school is also possible)
- childhood friends
- the couple was separated
- the couple fall in love

I don't want:
- yaoi, yuri, shojou ai, shounen ai
- hentai, no-no
- horror

However, I would like to tell that I'm not picky when it comes to the university setting ^^

Love Hina is the first series that comes to mind. It fits the bill almost perfectly (although the protagonists are trying to get into college and are not actually in college yet...).

Otherwise it sounds like exactly what you are looking for.

The only thing I can think of is Golden Time (Umechazuke). It takes places on the day of the opening ceremony at the university the protagonist begins to attend. There are two actually two pairs of childhood friends in this manga (one pair is revealed later on), but so far I don't think the main couple is what you want ideally based on your description. Golden Time also has an anime counterpart that is currently airing.

Another university setting I can think of is Cheese in the Trap. Though there are no childhood friends in this story, I still recommend it.
