Hello ^_^

I am looking for a manga or anime series, where the characters have (form) a very close / special relationship / bond. It is hard for me to describe the feeling, because I am not sure 100% what I am looking for exactly, but here are 2 example categories(+1 extra category).

1. The main character takes special care of another character / share a close bond / friendship

For example:

http://myanimelist.net/anime/14741/Chuunibyou_demo_Koi_ga_S hitai!
http://myanimelist.net/anime/13759/Sakurasou_no_Pet_na_Kano jo
http://myanimelist.net/anime/4224/Toradora!

2. The characters become close due to a secret, which turns into a strong friendship / romance

For example:

http://myanimelist.net/manga/39505/Omae_wo_Otaku_ni_Shitey aru_kara_Ore_wo_Riajuu_ni_Shitekure!

http://myanimelist.net/manga/22046/Tonari_no_Kashiwagi-san

3. Something that has amazing character growth like Onani Master Kurosawa (Masturbation Master Kurosawa). Must have some romance / romance subplot in it.

Aku no Hana(Flowers of Evil) is also something that I'll throw in this category.

The main reason I am looking for a recommendation is because of the feeling I got when reading " Omae o Otaku ni Shiteyaru kara, Ore o Riajuu ni Shitekure! " today.

I liked how the characters sort of grow to understand each other better.

Manga Adaptations of Light Novel Series may also be what I'm looking for atm. They seem to fit the general 'feel' of what I'm hoping to find, but it doesn't have to be a Light Novel adaptation.

A few extra notes:

-Any genre is fine, NOT including Yaoi/shounen ai / hentai.
Borderline H, ecchi, etc. is fine, but not full blown, categorized as 'hentai' series.

-I am most interested in finding a good shounen or seinen romance series, but shoujo / josei is ok as well.

-Having either a character with a backbone (not overly whimpy / weak willed; like a lot of shounen MC's) is preferred, but also not necessary.

-Having the character mature / grow as the series progresses would also be a nice addition. Even if the character is weak, as long as he matures even a bit, that is a bonus.

IF what I am looking for is too confusing, I guess I am just looking for a GOOD SHOUNEN ROMANCE series, whether it be ecchi, harem, etc; doesn't matter. (eg. I''S , Ichigo 100%, Suzuka, Nisekoi, To Love-Ru, Pastel) <----- Some of these series the MC isn't that impressive most of the time, but I still enjoyed the series.

Thanks for the help, if you want clarification, just mention it and I'll try to explain what I'm looking for in a simpler way.

Also, if anyone is interested, you can check my MAL list to see what I'm generally interested in.

Okay so im not to sure how you will feel about these to series, but they are both long and very good in my mind. The first one is:

GE - Good Ending
Good Ending follows the main character Utsumi's interactions with Kurokawa Yuki, a member of the school tennis team, in order for Utsumi to confess his feelings to the captain of the tennis team. Also a light novel adaption.

and the second one is:

Kimi No Iru Machi
Yuzuki Eba has mysteriously decided to go to high school in the countryside. But despite Haruto Kirishima's objections, she is living in his home. Now he has to put up with a freeloading city girl and even worse, make sure Nanami Kanzaki, the girl he likes, doesn't get the wrong idea!

Hope you enjoy both of my suggesting and best of luck for finding the perfect series! smile

I'll second Bonnouji. They are 1st best friends, then lovers.

I'll add :

Molester Man Since you liked OMK you should check it

I have an anime suggestion which might not fit your requirements... it's not a romance, it might not even be friendship as it's usually meant, but it's definitely the story of a very strong bond between two characters and I'm prett sure you'll like it.

Kemono no Souja Erin

If you have ever read Natsume Yuujinchou, it's kind of like the bond between the MC and Nyanko Sensei, but much more realistic and tragic at times.

Thanks again!

@joyfullyme16 - Thanks for those suggestions. They are both series that I look forward to reading, and I can tell just by looking at them that I'll like them.

@oneeyed - Bonnouji is a great series, and is a very good example of what I am looking for at the moment. I've read the first chapter or so of Molester Man and enjoyed it. I will make sure to read more of it in the near future since I've been pushing it off for a little bit >_<

I've never heard of Kemono no Souja Erin before now, it looks interesting. I'll check it out soon. My brother has told me multiple times how much he loves Natsume Yuujinchou. I think it's about time I get around to watching it / reading it bigrazz

@aroma_ketut - There are quite a few interesting suggestions there, that I haven't heard of before (eg. Seishun For-Get, Minimum, etc.) I will check some of them out today, some tomorrow.

Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou is a great series for me. The reason being is because stuff actually happens in that manga, rather than being too passive and having little development in the relationship.

I haven't gotten around to reading some of IKEYAMADA Go's mangas yet, but I know I love the art / general feeling of her mangas. For example, I loved Moe Kare. I will check out the one with soccer in it soon as well smile

Great suggestions so far! I'll try making a dent in the list and reading some of them today. If anyone has other suggestions, all and any suggestions are appreciated ^_^
