SO my best friend's bday is coming up and I want to burn a CD for him. The thing is that I ended up picking out only the songs that I liked the best and it's not enough to fill up all the available space on a CD. I considered recording myself talking to take up some space, but there's only so much I can say after "Happy Birthday" before I'm just rambling >.<

Here's what I have so far:

1. Midnight City M83
2. Crave You Flight Facilities
3. Stay High 121 Hippie Sabotage
4. Pumpin Blood Jane Doze Remix
5. Youth Adventure Club Remix
6. Rain Mitis Remix
7. Gifts & Curses IllSkillz
8. Trojans Atlas Genius
9. Anna Sun Walk the Moon
10. Smallpools Mason Jar Monsieur Adi Remix

Yea... Just from glancing at it, there's not much diversity. If he listened to foreign music, I would have been able to fill up this whole CD and more, but he has this thing where he likes to sing-a-long so I had to stick with English.

Any suggestions?

I just finished listening to them. Hahhaha it's funny I heard most of these songs before I just never knew the names till now. THANKS!

Btw do you listen to Mae, The Postal Service, or Death Cab for Cutie? I want to add some new songs from groups similar to them.

That's only band I even know of and also have. As far as similar bands, the closest ones I can think of are Awolnation, Caesars Place, Hellogoodbye, MGMT, My Chemical Romance, The Naked and Famous, New Radicals, The Shins, Train, and The Verve.

EDIT: Almost forgot to add Gotye. For some people, they're just just somebody that they used to know...

I'll just show myself to the door.

Everybody needs some Ellie Goulding. I'd suggest Burn, Lights, My Blood, and Don't Say A Word just off the top of my head.

There's some theatrical orchestral stuff that's gorgeous, like Immortal by Thomas Bergerson and Moonlight by Trevor Morris. Great stuff.
