I have decided to create a topic because of the abundant amount of misinformation that has been floating around on the internet.

I heard the author died!
Sunao Yoshida passed away before he could complete the series, NOT the mangaka. However, the late author has left extensive notes on how he wanted the series to continue. These notes were compiled into a book called Trinity Blood: Canon, which has not been released in English. It is possible that the manga will follow the planned storyline, however.

As of 2014, the manga is still currently working its way through the last novel that the author released before he passed away.

Note that contrary to popular belief, the author's friend Kentaro Yasui did not complete the series, nor is he completing the series or helping with the manga. He did, however, write a story called Trinity Blood Apocrypha featuring Astharoshe.

Who is the mangaka?
Kiyo Kyujo. The series is based on the Trinity Blood light novels written by Sunao Yoshida, specifically, “Trinity Blood: Reborn on The Mars.†The famous designs and artwork found in these novels are illustrated by Thores Shibamoto.

Note the author also wrote the “Trinity Blood: Rage Against Moons†series. Rage Against Moons is a prequel to Reborn on the Mars.

Is this series licensed?
This series was licensed by Tokyopop, but has not been picked up by any other publishing company in North America after Tokyopop’s demise. The series was also published in English by Chuang Yi, a Singaporean-based company, but the company has gone into liquidation after they released volume 14.

When are the raws released?
Monthly Asuka publishes on the 24th of each month, usually naming the issue after the upcoming month. For example, the issue released in September the 24th is called the “October†issue.

Edit: It seems like Monthly Asuka is published two months ahead of the actual release date now. So the issue released on September the 24th is called the “November†issue.

Note that the mangaka takes 6 month breaks between releasing few chapters of Trinity Blood and his other series, Zone-00. Trinity Blood is released around August - March.

Does this series continue where the anime left off?
No, the anime has it’s own chronology, and re-wrote large chunks of the story. But if you like the anime, you’ll appreciate the manga even more.
