Hello.
So I started reading Shadow of the Templar novels yesterday and I find it really interesting that one of the main characters is a thief. I tried looking for more similar ones but hadn't had much luck. The best thing about the book is that it reads like an action movie, a very interesting one at that. The books are mostly from the POV of the FBI agent so I'd like to avoid that and actually have it mostly from the thief's/criminal's POV.
My request is -
I'm looking for m/m books where one of the main characters is some kind of a criminal. One where we actually follow him through it. Maybe some of his jobs, just following his everyday life would be fine too. Like an action movie or something. Best if romance is a subplot or there but not in-you-face present all the time where everything is actually about romance.
I've read a lot of them with FBI and CIA or some kind of officer themes. They all revolve around catching the bad guy. There is one however, In the Company of Shadows series where they're supposed to be the good guys but the work they do is mostly assassinations and stuff so that would be ok as well.
I don't mind multiple POV.
Hope someone has something for me :3

I remember reading Shadow of the Templar (man, it was so fun!)-- found it in the Slash Pile Recs.

If you're looking for original slash fiction with criminal main characters you should definitely check it out! Here you go: Slash Rec Master List

Check under the Jobs/Profession category, and you'll find many action/crime stories (but not all of them are novel length) biggrin

Thank you, I'll check it out. Do you have any personal favorites you'd recommend?

maybe Among Thieves from Douglas Hulick
It's a medieval/ fantasy like setting...but not quite... it's hard to describe smile
Well it's not your typical fantasy and I had a lot of fun reading the first volume.

It looks interesting. I'll check it out over the summer, thanks. Just one question 'cause I don't like going in blind..it doesn't seem like it has m/m romance? Is it just plain adventure, no actual romance?
