I'm looking for romance-shoujo mangas with :
-many chapters
-good art
-common stories but great *example the guy was bad and jerk at first but completely changed after falling for the girl.
-released after 2000

I also like minami kanan's
And currently my favs are Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!! And obaka-chan koigatariki... sadly obaka-chan koigatariki's scans might be dropped

Aside from that, I'd recommend Hana Yori Dango, but I don't remember how much he actually changed after meeting/falling fir her, and I'm not too sure about the art... it gets A LOT better though... it's up to you

I don't read too much shojo, so I can't really say, maybe Love*com? The only other one I can think of that's long and I think it's good is Fruits Basket.

I was gonna say Natsume's Book of Friends, but that's not a romance shojo.

By many chapters, you mean 20 and more?
Well, here are 20+ chapter shoujo manga that I would recommend

Akatsuki no Yona - (Ongoing) Its a good read if you're into historical and stuff. Also has great art.
Hibi Chouchou - (ongoing) Slow love progress but its cute though. Great Art.
Akuma to love song - (ongoing) High school setting. About a misunderstood girl known for her frank personality.
Ouran High School Host Club - (completed) I love this manga. It has okay art but still a good story.
Beauty Pop - (completed) lacking on romance but still a good manga.
Charming Junkie - (completed) About modelling and stuff. Nice story line. Also a gender bender.
Love in the Mask -(completed) I love the story. Even made me cry lol. How it ended is what I hate. I won't spoil you though.
Dengeki Daisy - (ongoing) This one is a unique story. About a girl that texts someone named daisy ( a man) about her troubles or something. Like a diary i guess?
S.L.H -(completed) I really like the art also unique story. Its cute.
Last Game - (ongoing) I really recommend this one. A cute story
Hana Kimi - (complete) Gender bender.
Ao Haru Ride - (ongoing) I like the art. Cliched shoujo story but is also interseting in my opinion.

*There is also Skip Beat! , Hana to Akuma , Oresama Teacher , Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume

There is actually more that I would recommend but the list would be so long.

it's technically a shounen, but it's very similar to shoujo: Cheeky Angel. 20 volumes long so there's your length.

Mars was released in 1995 but I love it so I'm recommending it anyway. It was one of the first series I bought and remains one of my favourites. Bad boy meets Shy girl, they both have tragic pasts, there's some drama and some angst. If you're looking for fluff this might not be the way to go but it's a really interesting story, imo.

I just started Horimiya which is apparently technically shounen but the art is really pretty and I thought it was shoujo and kept thinking how nice it was that it didn't fall into some of the more common shoujo cliches. They both have personalities they hide from their classmates and they both happen to find out about each other and become friends. Hijinx ensue.

Nodame Cantabile is josei but long and awesome (I'd recommend watching the anime as well because then you get to hear the music ) Two college kids studying music, the art is probably a little rough actually but the characters are awesome.

I also just started Hirunaka no Ryuusei it's 10 volumes so far and ongoing, really new, like 2011. Country girl moves to tokyo, develops a crush on her teacher who is also her uncles best friend.

*looks through my lists* Sorry a lot of these are 1990s

Love so Life (cute girl babysitting cute kids and falling in love with their uncle), Kiss, Dengeki Daisy,

Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi is only three volumes, 21 chapters all together but I think the art is amazing. And it came out in 2007

Koukou Debut One of my first mangas.. the art is OK but the male lead is like reaaaally good-looking! I love this series so much :3 A lot of chapters & Completed.
Papillon - Hana to Chou Love this one :3 Completed.
Kare First Love Reading this atm! Bear with the quality the first chapters but it gets better! So far so good! :3 Completed.

The others above me recommended Dengeki Daisy, and I'm going to do the same! It really is a unique plot. However, the romance is really slow because of some reasons.. but It is really funny and worth every second. The art is beyond all limits! Fantastic work :3
