What is your religion?

its quite a simple question, so please, give a simple answer and don't force yours on someone else.
biggrin biggrin

Prolly a repeat topic, but i searched the word religion in both the post and topic title and it didn't turn anything like this up....

Btw, i don't have a Religion, i have yet to find one that makes sense to me, and i am not all that concerned with the afterlife so its not a big deal to me...

but i do live by a few Buddhist principals.

ima christian, but im startin to question how important religion rele is. i been told if a baby dies it automatically gets a heaven pass. then da same idea should apply to ppl who live their whole lives as pure as a baby but dont practice religion or a truly good person who's never heard of religion. after all, morals and virtues define a person, and ignorance is not a sin. why spend an hour at a mass, when u can put in dat hour at a soup kitchen or orphanage?

i think all religions should get together to improve humanity instead of worrying about the afterlife. cuz what we do in our lifetime reflects dat. i get visits from Jehova witnesses all da time. i ignore what they're saying and nod my head but damn...if they smiled, gave me a hug, a piece of pie, asked me about my day, instead of telling me how doomed i am if i dont do something, then i might have converted a long time ago.

Just a Thought.

Dictated. Not read.

For the ones who did post a religion, do you really believe in them? Or just say it because your parents/environment has "enforced" them on you?

Like Heaven said, are you only religious "in theory"? xP

@dacbiet: You got some valid points. ;D

Roman Catholic.

Yeah... Lately I don't really believe it all that much. I do, but don't. Its hard to explain. Its like.. I don't believe it, but since it was ground into me all my life, I still sorta believe it.. do you know what I mean?

Yeah, I had that too in my pre-teens. ;D It will fade away eventually. ;P

As you mature, you get more confident in what you want in your life.

Not sure, but i think that being neutral in it and looking for what suits you/the truth is Agnostic

I don't have a religion. I was raised that way. and no I wasn't even raised to be atheist even though my dad definitely is. My mom is vaguely spiritual, she believes in fate and such. But religion nor the opposite of it was never discussed when i was growing up. I sorta feel obliged to be an atheist, and I will say that I am one so I don't have to explain my beliefs to anyone. but for this limited time only I will explain what I believe!
Ready?: I don't care. There may be a god there may not be a god, something else entirely might be going on. Either way i'm gonna try to act in a way that I see as being moral. So I'm an agnostic in everything but initial premise. It is not because I don't know that I believe these things, but because I don't care. And I'm Atheist in everything but I accept the fact that certain things could be interpreted as god.

I was raised to despise organized religion however. So I really can't discuss religion without getting upset. I know that everyone has they're own thing and i'm fine with that (or try to be) so I've gotten in the habit of closing my mouth and walking away. bigrazz but i really want to discuss it anyways no

ahh, same here, basically word for word.

i know a bit about all kinds of religions and none fit me, but i am willing to accept there might be something out there like "god"
