I just thought of a shoujo manga I vaguely remember reading forever ago. At least, I think it was shoujo. The majority of what I read is shoujo so it very likely is, as well. I don't remember much, but it wasn't very long, I think, maybe a oneshot. So, from what I remember, a girl is in a rose garden for some reason -- maybe she's not supposed to be there? Or she's waiting there while her mom does something? -- and she sees a boy in a window of the fancy mansion the garden belongs to. Romance ensues, of course, but I feel like it was more subtly romantic than focusing entirely on their love. My memories of it are dark, so maybe it was creepy or sad? I think it was maybe a little twisted. I have a memory of a crushed rose, but that may be entirely unrelated. Sorry this is so unhelpful. Please suggest anything that sounds even remotely similar! It may be a part of an anthology or a oneshot in a longer series, or even a standalone oneshot. I honestly don't know. Thanks in advance!
