I'd like to find some manga in which romance has a power struggle at the core. It can be shoujo, josei or even yaoi. It can be a shounen manga with a romantic subplot.

But the future lovers should be at odds--rivals or even enemies--and they should enjoy it. You know that shounen trope 'I love fighting you! It's so exciting"--only it should continue into an actual romantic development.
