What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

Hey! I've occasionally visited this site in the past. Just recently noticed it had a forum...I love to cook (especially international cuisine), writing my 2nd novel currently, a clarinetist, learning Japanese, into photography, and more. I obviously like manga (it'd be weird if I didn't on this site), anime, Jpop/Jrock/Cpop/Kpop, languages, learning about cultures, Jdrama, music in general, etc.
