Hello, over time I have noticed the releases section is increasing with more and more novel updates including not only Japanese novels but also Chinese novels, Korean novels, and original English Novels. Also webtoon releases as well.

Inevitably the novel releases pushes the manga releases further down the list

Now I have nothing against it, but it does seem to clutter it up. How about separating the novel releases from the manga releases and just making this a pure manga and webtoon updates site?

You can blame me for the name, we're not very good at naming, and I did say "it sounded good" and it is easy to remember.

But that website can take over your web novel section. All that would need to happen is a little clean up on this website. What do you think?

It NEEDs to be done. This site is completely being overrun by novel updates.
Its ridiculous.

As there is no way to filter out novels, I decided to just kick of any group that does novels out. And I noticed that there is an enormous amount of groups that all started this march and post every day or two in average.

Thats the reason the top 25 stats is nearly soley composed of novels now, too.

As they all have (novel) in the name, it should be trivial to filter out. Right now, manga is becoming the minority here.

What I think that could be done was to create a separate section in the website which would deal with the light novels. For example, there could be a new menu on the right (between "Releases" and "Scanlators") called "Novel releases" or something like that.

Probably not that hard to make, it wouldn't cause major changes in the website's layout and we could maintain our lists without needing another website, or another complications.

I think the faster solution is to add a "Type Filter" in User CP.

I agree. Instead of a new website I'd rather be able to filter the releases by type. It's really convenient to have everything I'm reading all on the same site.

I don't know if this would be to much technical problem, but it would be cool if there was an easy way to turn on and turn off light novels/manga/manhwa/etc on the main page.

Ignore the subject of the list, just check how the "click to hide"/"click to show" works.

Can the filter link get pinned to make it more prominent. Even if it's a temporary measure until the new policy is completed, it's still really useful.

this is the page. The user interface its qutie nice and helps out a lot, i quite like it, and since its just starting the database is about the novels that have been updated in the last few months only so the novels before that are yet to be updated.
Soon this page will allow users to add novels and mofidy things similary to here.

I would also vote for a seperate page for novel releases. Novels are a different material, unlike webcomics, manwha, manhua, oel and manga those are still all comics while novels aren't. It would be better to have a different release page for novels in place of adding novels behind every title.
Filtering is not an option for mods, otherwise the mod can't do their job properly as the novels are filtered out. I'm not sure about it, but are the mods then unable to see the novel releases in the unapproved releases?

I find it damn ironic that the mods allow these novel releases when they aren't manga releases or atleast images with text releases...

Yeah, but also in other sections like series stats, that's whhere I used to look for new manga, but the lack of a filter makes it impossible now, everything are light novels, and funny thing most of the time, they aren't being translated and have like three score votes, how can they be in any top 100?
