Back to the normal user-suggested polls! This week's poll was rooted in an idea our member DragonReader had, but it's not quite what he had suggested. Basically we're asking about the most common thing you do when you get a mild sickness, such as a cold or the flu.
You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

In case of me being mildly sick, I would Treat it like a regular day as much as possible.
For example, If I get a mild cold or fever of 99°-100.3° F I would eat a Paracetamol Tablet or 350-500mg and try to get my work done as much as possible like a normal day. If it's not a busy day and I'm at home, then I may consider taking some rest.
I find Cold to be more annoying than fever, muscle pain, headache(mild) etc. etc.
Good luck everybody, try not to get sick. There is no fun in it, even if you're trying to skip School or Work. ^^

My body is quite resistant to sickness and when i'm sick i wouldn't realize i'm sick most of the times if it wasn't of my runny nose.

I'll pop some pills/meds and still go to work or treat it as a normal day. Mildly sick to me is usually the prelude to a full blown outbreak, so i'll try to treat the symptoms early. Its 50/50 chance of curing or turning into a fever or whatnot.
I still go about my day as usual, but instead of drinking tea/coffee, I swap it out for a hot honey and lemon drink, which helps me to get rid of a cold completely within 3 days usually.

Call in sick, open the computer and enjoy the sudden unplanned (but more importantly) paid holiday.

Use pills or other medicine + Treat it like a regular day as much as possible
My job has a zero tolerance policy on attendance so unless I'm puking my guts out I suck it up and go to work. A doctor's excuse is only good if he writes you off for multiple (consecutive) days and even then it's still an occurrence.

Funnily enough, I have a pretty bad cold + hacking-up-a-lung type cough right now... And my exams are on Monday
Option two for me, I guess. Coupled with pills if I have to study that day and can't be bothered to fight through a headache while I'm at it.

Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea! *-*
I love tea. I really don't need an excuse to drink it (xD), but I usually drink some specific tea if I have a cold. My sinusitis has been acting up lately (my usual prevention didn't work this year!), so here I am, drinking my teas (peppermint tea is actually really good. While hot, the vapor helps a lot decongesting the nasal passage).
I usually try to avoid medicine... Only if I'm in pain or something.

How are all these people going about their regular days while on flu, in pain etc.?! Well, I haven't started working yet, so maybe I'll find out... I tend to just stay in bed, take panadols and necessary medications, and enjoy me some movies and manga/anime if I'm able to!

Regular day + Orange Emergen-C in a bottle of water
Worse and I'll take pills
You know it's that season when the lecture hall is filled with the sounds of sneezing or coughing. That's my cue to start taking some Emergen-C to boost my defenses.

But if you have a flu, you're not mildly sick anymore. Mildly sick I would imagine is just a cold, cough, or signs of it developing.
It depends on the person. When I get the flu I only have it for a day or 2 then my body recovers. The same thing happened when I got the swine flu.
It sounds strange I know, but I have a good immune system.

Wow I totally missed the Josei poll, well, whatever, I'm happy with the winner. (I am surprised at 07-Ghost getting second place, but it's been a long while since I've read it. It's on my on hold list so I might go back to it, I mean I do prefer fantasy/sci-fi stuff, it just was a bit meh fro me.)
Anyway, mildy sick for me is a stuffy nose/runny nose and a slight cough, so I treat it like a regular day. When I actually get sick though, I just try to get more sleep than usual and drink lots of water.
