What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?

Just decided to do a quick Google search to see what state Id has been in after a few years, and I found this over on MangaFox:

Nice, hopefully things work out. It was sad to see Id on hiatus - it was so epic. His new series looks interesting too.

That's great news! Id was literally the best fantasy/adventure comic I've read. Any word on his new project? I'd love to purchase it if it will help get the ball rolling on his career again.
