Oh geez, another one by me, *sigh* I feel bad 'cause I've started so many of the "I'm looking for..." topics (I like to read A LOT all at once...makes it fun 'cause it forces me to reread the good parts and stuff).

Anyways, does anyone know any good gangster/delinquent/yakuza-type stories?

Wild Ones I've dropped it recently, but it seems to be what you're looking for.


Not really sure if its what you're looking for, but Kill Me Kiss Me deals with some gang stuff. Although, just so you know, I only read the first volume before I dropped it.

Also, if you don't mind Josei,

Gokusen is highly recommended.

EDIT: Wild Ones is mostly Yazuka, Gokusen is is a mixture of both, and Kill me Kiss me deals with gangs.

If you like Wild Ones, I suggest you read Mei-chan no Shitsuji , its not really ganster, but deals with a girl suddenly going from a poor yet happy family who makes food to a girl who suddenly gets assigned a beautiful body guard that she adores, just like Wild Ones.

Yeah Wild Ones is Arakure, but in English, hahaha. And I've watched Gokusen, anime and drama, but is the manga better?

EDIT: Oh! I've heard Kill me, Kiss me is good...I'll go check on it!

crows is excellent. So is the sequel worst. They jsut came out with a live action movie in Japan for this too, so that's pretty awesome.

Read Gokusen, definitely.

IMO the manga is the best, followed by season one dorama, then anime, then season two dorama...and they're doing a third dorama season, but it's not out yet.

if you're anything like me, you WILL LOVE hot blooded woman. its so hilarious i read it more than ten times. story in short:

gang leader of her school goes in a coma and her soul transfers to the body of a weak, pretty, rich and snobbish gril that eveyone hates. she is determind to be the gang leader at her new school

there is also cutie boy(same auther as hot blooded woman), Jun'ai Tokkou Taichou (kinda like love junky), Punch, Pretty Face, W-Pinch,Othello (the shoujo one) and You're so Cool

even though it's seinen.

@allena I've read Hot Blooded Woman! It's really good, but too long I think. I really only liked the first half until she gets back into her body and the male half realizes that she's actually the person that he liked.
