the dentist

Poll
How do you feel about the dentist?
I hate it, with a fiery burning passion, and firmly belive that its one of the many roots in the tree of evil
Meh, its ok, i dont really care
I love it, they give me candy ^-^
Why does it even matter?

I love going to the dentist! they don't give me candy, but they give me a choice of a toy from the toy draw. XD I have a very impressive finger puppet collection now. I'm actually pretty old to still be offered stuff from the toy draw, but meh. they don't care I guess. xP

last time I went, they thought I needed a filling, so the dentist numbed my mouth. then he realized I didn't need one. it wouldn't have been so bad, but I had to go to sports practice right afterwards. D:

idk why people complain so much about the dentist, I've had a root canal and several cavities filled, I dont think the dentist is that bad.

All the dentists I've had have this habit of trying to make a conversation with me while working on my teeth >_> argh, it's not like I can answer or even nod, so why do they have to ask questions while drilling your tooth or something?

I don't like going to the dentist, but since I've had braces some years ago, I think the worst is over, so it's not like I hate it anymore.

I've never had a cavity or anything like that, so I'm not too scared. Although...as a young child, I had an extra tooth growing out. I mean, you have the baby teeth, then the adult teeth, right? I had a 3rd one somehow...So they put me to sleep and drilled the 3rd one out. You can tell it happened since there's a gap in my gums and stuff (looks like it caved in), and my teeth are oddly uneven right there. But since I was put to sleep, I have no memories of it~

Hrmm... well, I've had cavities filled, and about eight - was it eight? yeah, eight - teeth pulled, plus I've had my wisdom teeth taken out, half of which were impacted. But despite that, I've no overwhelming hatred of the dentist. Not that I look forward to going or anything, but I don't dislike the experience either.

The bracesman, however, is a faaaaaaaaaaaaar different matter. (Bracesman, orthodontist, same difference~)

my dentist is a nice guy... I never even had a cavity, but he did have too pull 4 of my teeth before I got my braces because of the lack of space in my mouth.. but still a nice dude laugh

I'm fine after I get in the chair... and they are always so nice and everything... And I've never been told things like "you need to take better care of your teeth" or "you're not flossing enough." But there is a lot of kicking and complaining when I am dragged there at first.

Still, I have three impacted wisdom teeth that need to be yanked out... and I am not looking forward to it.

In terms of bad, bad teeth > going to the dentist every six months.

I had almost every one of my baby teeth and four of my adult teeth pulled plus I had impacted wisdom teeth. The pain goes away. ><

I guess the worst part is the smell of the place. It smells like an alien dissection ship.

Hate the dentist. I hate going to the dentist because i know my teeth and I know what he's going to do. cry
But, I suck it up go into his office and cry until he's finished. When I leave I what to cus him out for causing the pain he caused but my mouth is numb so that will look foolish.
After that I look at my teeth........roll eyes

I really love the dentist biggrin
