I saw Ana Satsujin and thought about giving it a try, seemed kinda fucked up at first but it turned out to be the best manga I've read yet. Any more manga where the guy basically gives up on life? Doesn't really have to be with suicide, just lotta depression, and then a beautiful girl tries making friends with him.

I've also read NHK ni Youkoso!

Ningen Shikkaku

Btw -- in Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei the depression is played for comedy, at least until

the last couple of chapters.

But since there are 30 volumes in the series, that's something to be cautious of if you're looking for an entirely serious take on depression and suicidal ideation. Nonetheless, it's a great social satire and black humour piece, so still worth a read, imo.

I think Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re should br included in this category. Holyland and the male lead in Orange (TAKANO Ichigo) and Koe no Katachi as well however concerning Koe no Katachi rather than the girl trying to be friends with him he tries to become friends with her in order to redeem himself.

Either I've read them or they aren't really what I'm looking for, thanks anyway for your time. Any more suggestions?
