Forgotten manga title

An absent minded boy is always reminiscing of his first love especially around the summer season because he met a beautiful little girl at a summer festival who gave him her goldfish or something.

One day he sees a girl around his age walking away from the back, and her hair and beauty reminds him of the girl he met years ago.

Being mindful of her presence, one day he follows her and finds her prostituting herself in a kimono to an old man, and this shatters his beloved memory so he runs away in shock.

He becomes extremely absent minded which becomes worrisome to his highschool girlfriend, and one day he decides to confront his first love, and for some reason he brings along goldfish because he noticed she had an empty fish tank. (The goldfish details are fuzzy for me).

At first he visits her often under the pretense of caring for her fish but later as he becomes more absent minded and dreamy, he ends up staying at the prostitute girl's place for days, and he becomes delusional with the extreme need to meet his first love.

He is seen strangling the prostitute and going "you're not her"! My first love was pure and- and then he leaves her and walks over to an empty chair where he strokes the air going "yess, that's it, there you were", because he starts hallucinating and seeing her in her childhood version (pure and beautiful).

At the end, the fish died, the prostitute lets him sleep with her as a substitute for his delusional first love. So because he satisfied his need to touch his first love, he returns to sanity and he returns to his girlfriend, leaving the prostitute chick forever (not that she really cares).

I have forgotten the title of this manga which is frustrating because I know the details of the plot so well

I swear I've tried to find it myself under a lot of genre combination filters. Psychological X romance or slice of life X psychological but to no avail. The story was roughly 3-6 chapters from what I recall and it was completed so I'm worried that it may be part of an anthology of short stories/one shots etc which are harder to find cuz they sometimes lack individual summaries.

this is interesting! do you remember if it's completely scanlated? is it a manga, manhwa or manhua? maybe you should go through First Love category, and/or Prostitute/s? the first love wore kimono, so I assume it's historical?

No I don't think it was historical because he was a school boy for one, and secondly it occurred during the summer which is notable for being a time of festival and yukata wearing etc (like the goldfish he caught and used as a plot device). For the reason that I think summer festivals where people catch goldfish is unique to Japan, I'm assuming it was a Japanese manga. But I feel like I'm getting my genres wrong in all the advanced searching I'm doing >.< because genre tagging can be so vague sometimes.

The story was completed for sure but I'm worried it may have had additional one shots that may or may not have been "completely scanlated" which sometimes gives an ongoing/incomplete tag to otherwise completed stories. So while in my memory it's "completed", the statistics might be otherwise which makes it harder for me to find. >.<
