Ok, I remembered something i read a long ass time ago, it was a manga, had baseball as its foundation, the team were deadbeats and the new pitcher wanted to play, but cant due to messed up arm.
anyone remember something like this? oh, i think the batter also beat someone to hell with a bat in the first 10 pages.

What i mean by really detailed was pages of the manga made me stop reading and just look at it thinking 'damn, that is well drawn"
Thinking back on it now, if things like the baseball on the 2page spread weren't rotoscoped, the person drawing it has a fair amount of skill.
