Hi guys,

I'm looking for someone, who can extract scripts/texts from manhua pages and insert them again.

There's some manhuas that I'm interested in translating from my language to english.

The thing is, I can't read but can speak the language, so if anyone is interested in forming a team in their spare time, send me reply smile

How does it work?

What I'm thinking is, you send me the extracted scripts/texts, then I translate into english by using a software that can read the language outloud to me and then I'll translate them and send to you, and then you insert them perhaps fixing grammar/typos too.

Here's the ones:

Current translated up to 226 chapters (in my language)
http://ac.qq.com/Comic/comicInfo/id/530969

Current translated up to 100 chapters (in my language)
The Mythical Realm

Current translated up to 60 chapters (in my language)
Douluo Dalu 3

My language is like american characters like abc, but with áéë.

Sorry for my english, it's not very good smile

I was a Chinese translator myself and to be honest, I don't think that's a very good idea.

I'll point out a few reason for that:
1) There are way too many words that have the same tone but different meanings.

2) When a slightly more difficult word appears in the manhua & you're unsure of the meaning, you're going to have to search the dictionary and translator for the meaning of the word. & this is where the problem comes:

Online Translator often give horrible translations with meanings that are totally off. By often, I mean VERY VERY often. From my personal experience, I end up having to resort to dictionary 95% of the time. Chinese is such a complex language that given the current technology, the automated translators will never get all the meanings right. If you can't even read the words, you're going to have difficulties even searching up the meaning on internet and dictionary.

3) All the extra work is too much hassle and time consuming. It's simply not worth the extra effort.

.
.
and the list goes on.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it's not going to work unless you have someone who's good at Chinese to help you out. Though, I'll applaud you for having the thought of putting in effort for your favorite series.

You're likely to have better luck of getting the series translated by requesting on several forums/ groups to translate instead. (Or even better, learn how to edit the raws and offer yourself as an editor for a higher chance of the series being picked up.)

Chinensis thanks for your feedback, but I think you misunderstood me.

The manhuas suggested are translated in my "language" (not in chinese). I'm not using machine translation to translate, what I'm doing is having a software to read the text, for example: how to spell the word correctly, like if you're learning to speak a language. How do you actually pronounce the word like if you from asia and just moved to england.

What I meant by in my "language" is, for example it can be russian, but I speak fluently russian, but can't read russian, if you know what I mean.

So instead of Chinese, it's Russian.

So.... What are you going to do if you come across a Russian word that you don't understand the meaning of...?

The same principle applies.

Honestly, I'm saying this for your own good and I'm not trying to be a killjoy, but the work will end up being very tough and the chance of mistranslation will also be very high.

However, if you are positive that everything is going to work out... Well, I might be wrong. I wish you all the best then.

@Buunrok

So you're looking for a transcriber then, someone to transcribe the text from the raw images into a script or just written out, right?

tran·scribe (verb) - put (thoughts, speech, or data) into written or printed form.

Awesome, way to think outside the box, good luck with your project smile
