Hi everyone,

Amimaru Translation and Localization Services is a company that translates and typesets manga for various Japanese and other companies around the world.

Our Homepage: http://amimaru.com/en/

Our business is expanding, and we are recruiting. This will be a paid freelancer job. We are looking for more typesetters, translators, quality checkers and proofreaders to join our project in English, Korean, Chinese, and potentially Arabic, French, Swedish and other languages. Due to the significant volume of work, we are currently looking for those who can complete at least 200 pages a month. If you can manage more than 200 pages per month, or if you know someone who can, we are very happy to hear from you.

If you are applying as a typesetter or quality checker, we require the following:

- You know how to remove the Japanese text from a raw image and redraw the missing parts (Photoshop). If you can also use InDesign, that would be a plus.

For all other positions, we require the following:
- You have great lettering skills and are familiar with manga / cartoons lettering.
- You are open minded and willing to improve your skills.

If you don't have any previous work samples, that's fine. We will ask you to complete a manga typesetting test. This means anyone can apply, as long as they're interested in manga typesetting / translation.

If you could drop me an email to hr 「at」 amimaru.com with information on how many pages you can manage per month, we will get in touch with you to proceed with the recruitment
process. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Thank you.

Amimaru does pay monthly after the first 3 months. Only because it takes that long for their clients to approve of the work.

They also pay via paypal or bank transfer. The pay is flat rate per page and not by sales revenue.

You can also set a monthly limit on how much you want to work on if life gets busy just be sure to inform them before a term starts.

I worked on a project for them but they got licensing problems, probably? They said they'd email me about it but it never came...? I'll probably just email them again about it?

Hi!

I am very interested in joining you, because I have been working with a scanlation team for nearly a year now, and so I feel very confident regarding my capabilities. In the group I work with, I proofread translations in English, I clean manga pages, redraw missing parts of the pages, and also typeset. I do these tasks separately and in different projects, but I can combine them in one as you have (cleaning, redrawing and typesetting) if needed.

I believe I can work on 200 pages a month, and more. Please let me know what the fixed rate is per page, and how I will be receiving this, if I get the chance to join. Also, I would like to know what kind of manga you work on. Please do not hesitate to ask for my previous work or to give me a test, if need be.

Thanks, ^^

Dear Mimin Amimaru

I want to join as a typesetter, I can work on 100-200 pages a month. You can submit a sample test on me, and I can use English, but not too well versed

I have been wanting to work in cleaning, typesetting, and/or editing for a very long time now. I am fluent and well versed in the English language, and can speak Mandarin fluently. I am just unsure of who or how to contact your group, as the posted link goes directly to a Japanese site, and as a filthy gaijin, I can't understand Nippon. Can someone give me an email of some sort to refer to?

Hello! My name is Chris and I'm a freelance Spanish <> English translator with 5+ years experience and an avid lover of manga and anime. I noticed in the description you stated you are eventually looking for more languages. Any chance you may need a Spanish translatpr to translate the English translations to Spanish? I'd love to help
