Hi!

New user here, I signed up because this question has been killing me inside. I feel like I read a series that I deeply loved as a kid but can't remember the title - I've looked through Ikuemi Ryou's works and I feel the nostalgic hit their style has. Can anyone think of any other authors with a similar style? - particularly similar to Baby Blue, I Love Her and Mitsumete Itai (IKUEMI Ryou)...

I'm fairly sure the original one (with name I cannot recall) was a shoujo, and the guy was older than the girl (or at least seemed like it) - he might have had dark hair, too? God I know that's so generic haha. I think it was a bit of a tearjerker/bittersweet and a bit of a rollercoaster but I can't be sure. Any similar authors or series' would help massively!

She reminds me of YOSHIMURA Akemi's work and some parts of the style remind me a bit of Mars. Though I know what you mean, her style is really nostalgic on those mangas, but can't remember where from...

Hmm I think Yachi Emiko, KURAMOCHI Fusako, and KAWAHARA Kazune's pre 2000 works have similar art style with Ikeumi Ryou. I'm making wild guesses here, but could it be Sensei! or Umi no Teppen?
