Haha, that's probably true to an extent as far the poll is concerned, but there's also a much larger number of people who have actually seen Geass since the new season began, so it could be that they just hadn't been introduced to it yet.
There's also a lot to be said for not being a sociopath...
But this poll should (ideally) be about who would win in a "fight", rather than which character is more well liked.

Kira was great, but Lelouch is better. Kira lost to a little kid...and that sorta pissed me off. Also, Kira wanted to become sorta "godlike" and doing things what he thought was right...basically selfish reasons.
Zero, on the other hand is doing it all for his sister (I haven't seen the second season though)
Ability based, Zero would pwn Kira. Kira may have a long range attack, but Zero short range plus his Gawain....well...Kira might as well write his own name in the Death Note

I would also like to add that Light can control people before they die. Therefore he can just write down the names of the Black Knights and just write "kill Zero"

You can't make someone kill another person with a Death Note. Light only made it look like it was possible to make someone kill another person but he actually wrote his girlfriends name on the next page.

I don't get what you're trying to say. If the person that has been written in the Death Note is someone close to Zero, then it's very possible.

I don't get what you're trying to say. If the person that has been written in the Death Note is someone close to Zero, then it's very possible.
Apparently, a Death Note cannot cause additional deaths to occur without also writing the name of the person who is killed.
Just as a wild example, if you wanted to kill me, and knew the full name and face of someone close to me, but not my real name or face, you couldn't write "____ kills Crenshinibon" in the death note and have it work. My name has to be written in there as well.

Yeah, I know I didn't make it seem to clear because I wrote that at 3 a.m. and I was tired. Anyway, it's just as Crenshinbon said. In the movie they explain it in the scene after Naomi and Shiori die which is what I was talking about in that last part.

C.C is not bound by death as you can see she living 4 ever so death has no hold on her. Even the death god cannot kill something that does not even die.

Well you're all forgetting that the Note itself is supernatural so it's not like writing her name down in the Note is the same is slamming her ass in an iron maiden. But then the 120 year old rule comes into effect. I've never even heard of it or I just stopped paying attention to the rules they would show us b/c the show is so damn awesome.

I'd go for zero, he'll use his geass before kira started to write zero's name (although kira doesn't know what's zero real name...) Lelouch also has his knightmare that has the best defensive power (in R2, I forgot the name ;D).
Kira is also childish, he wants to be a 'god', but Lelouch is doing that because of his sister and mother (and it is confirmed in ep13 in R2)... Basically, Lelouch's reason is more reasonable than Kira.

it would truly depend on the circumstances, zero needs to have eye contact to use his geass, and surly kira isnt stupid enough to let zero see him, and kira needs a face and a name, and the way kira is, he could probably figure it out.
it would all come down to who shows who's face first.
( i for one, would pick zero, only b/c i like him more)

Wouldn't depend though in the battle if Light/Kira could see Zero/Lelouch's face? If he's Zero then he has a mask on and Kira wouldn't be able to see his face so he wouldn't be able to kill him with the death note... And Zero could open that tiny little department in his mask where he could see out with his Geass and Light wouldn't see his entire face... I vote Zero... also just because I would rather see him win
