Hachi's a sweet girl but she can be quite moronic, capricious,
and frivolous. She is very flawed just like the other characters
but deep down I believe she knew what she was going into when she
married Takumi.

Nobu's such a great guy...I supported them but I'm starting to realize
that Nobu's too good for Hachi OR Yuri. Who knows..there was that
scene in the future so...

Takumi and Yuri should just hook up or something. They're
both touchy-touchy and would make a good couple of man/women hunters.

i dont see why people have anything against yuri.... she's never cheated, she doesn't lie.....she looks better than hachi, she has a career and hachi doesn't and she's alot less annoying and naive then hachi is......i'd say all-in-all she's a much better girlfriend then hachi was or could be for nobu...... i think they're a real good match, her only flaw is the fact that she's a porn star......other then that she's a nice a woman, or has been so far....... and i'll go as for to say hachi's alot more easy and loose then yuri as well (work aside)

Takumi x hachi for some reason it doesnt seem real. still i cant believe they love each other. its like hachi forcing their relationship to be like ren x nana. honestly i dont care about hachi. at first she was great.

Here's the answer to all these questions about NANA, and any of YAZAWA Ai's manga:

Reading YAZAWA Ai is an exploration (read "jump in and experience this whether you like it or not") in masochism. She's a fscking tease, who likes causing you pain. She enjoys the hell out of it. She likes to draw you in with a awesome romance, or the great mystery, or the beautiful, well developed characters. Then she takes you on what seems like the most wonder journey ever, Problems arise and are overcome, love springs fourth. There are twists in the road, but thy are not scarey, they are the kind where you want to know what is hidden around them. And as she guides you, coaxing and reassuring you that it's going to be okay, whispering "I love you!, I love you!"...she's pulling on her leather bdsm outfit, complete with a barbed whip that you don't see until it's TOO FSCKING LATE!.

Now you don't know what's happening. You're confused, but trying to keep control as the car starts to slide around what was once a gentle curve, but what you now realize is a careening hairpin with thousand foot cliffs and no guard rails to either side. Worse, this fscking YAZAWA Ai is now laughing manically while mercilessly beating every inch of the black, blue, and bloody pulp that you once called your body. All you can feel is pain, pain, PAIN, PAIN, love?, AGONIZING FSCKING PAIN! And as your mind breaks and the evil YAZAWA Ai finally, mercifully falls into an epileptic fit of ecstasy. You open your swollen eyes, thankful that you can finally stop this journey...and then you realize, once again, it's already too late.

And as the car sails through the air, the silence is surreal. You watch in stunned denial as the ground comes up at you. In your now sluggish mind you keep thiinking, "How did this happen?" Why? Why do this to your readers? Those who trusted and loved you? Invoking emotions of all types is a good thing, but this..this is pure fscking....

Then she whispers, cackling, in your ear just before the impact. YAZAWA Ai.

And the your world is obliterated by purifying fire and noxious gasoline. Thankfully. It's over. And you took that b**ch with you.

You might not understand how reality of life (love), someone was married without love each other just some incident as Nana (Hachi) that's realistic for me...It's telling you something if you don't care for life (by having sex without thinking of accident) you will get a trouble as Nana but she was Lucky, she know Tatumi and Nobu.

Takuki doesn't deserve to be hated, he is just playboy and workaholic man. I think he is responsible man, what he told Hachi that make Hachi more rely on him, he did tell Nana that he didn't care who was father of her child the important she was mother. Moreover in the time Hachi needed someone, there was him (to think in real if you were her, I got it coz my cousin was at the same suitation as Hachi of course the man did as Tatumi, he is same Tatumi's charactor ) If you read manga carefully there was hint, Hachi was quite sure that her child's dad was Tatumi because the doctor said how to count the date for baby. She was pregnant before dating with Nobu 1 week more.....Hachi loves Tatumi after all over Nobu, I like Nobu too but he is naive as Hachi, yes he is sweet but Hachi needs someone who is older than her...

I'm sorry to write so long just to explain...I love Tatumi and Hachi's relationship so much, my favorite couple in this manga..It's the most realistic lovers...

But I don't hate Takumi or Yuri or Hachi or anything. I really like how this story is going. Well, not 'like' in the way that all the characters are miserable but the fact that the storyline is good to read. It's realistic.

Bluntly - I just can´t support someone who is cheating...

Takumi is really a jerk sometimes, but I kinda can't hate him because he support Hachi.. But I really hate Yuri, she isn't good enough for Nobu, I think that the only reason they are together is because Nobu wanna forget about Hachi, and maybe because Yuri and Hachi looks so much alike..

I totally agree with you on Yuri. It doesn't really matter what she does - it's just a job. I think they she and Nobu are good match too. But I'm not sure whether they will deal with the relationship well. Sometimes life is just like that - wrong place, wrong time and the right person or right place right time but the wrong person. That's one of the reasons I like this series.

I don't like Takumi. But I respect his attitude and how he views life. Apparently he doesn't want complicated things. Hachi wanted to have the child so much. She's not that dumb - at least she clearly knows that she has the tendency to rely on Takumi and being with him is the good choice for the child.

Relationship is what you make it to be. Not quite sure about the Reira as his sister thing. I feel it's more complex than that. Those people just mess up their relationships and are not happy.

I agree with moca (mostly) and Monster Maalik (completely).

Meaning:

I don't hate Takumi (I even like him)
I don't hate Yuri (I even like her)
I support NobuxHachi, but it breaks my heart so much how Hachi is so idiotic and how Nobu is too good for anyone
I understand why people think that Takumi and Hachi are perfect together, I understand too how they can't be together

Well, basically what I'm saying is... Hachi might never end up with anyone.

I don't want to go explaining something so complicated since someone (s) else have said what I wanted to say.

I kind of was a Hachi X Nobu supporter, since they were so happy together and they really matched each other very well. That was till the moment where Nobu did not have the guts to support Hachi when she's pregnant. I think Hachi decided to choose Takumi over Nobu not only because Takumi is rich, but also she was aware at the time or at least thought that it's her own fault that this is happening. So she made a painful decision in order not to burden her friends, especially Nobu.

If Nobu does love Hachi enough, then he would have sacrificed his career and would support mother and child at any costs. But he didn't, what the worst is that he quickly found a girl-friend, in the person of Yuri. I do not hate Yuri only because she works in the Ero/adult industry, it's more that she's an opportunist ("share the bed" with Takumi for apparent reasons), she could step out of the Ero/adult industry, but did not - in the hope that she will become a star or something; she could have leave that industrie for the sake of Nobu, but she did not. I am afraid there would be a "bad end" for Yuri, since "Nana" is a manga with lots of tragedy (see Ren's end).

I think that Hachi would end up with Takumi afterall, since Nobu X Hachi is kind of out of the question, since in my opinion Nobu had the chance to be together with Hachi, but he hesitated too long (I think this hurts Hachi more than anything, his love for Hachi is not unconditional; the child is not his, since he said that he always has used condoms when they had sex. From this moment I am beginning not to hate Takumi like in the beginning, since he's prepared to marry Hachi and decided to take care of mother and child, even when the child is not his, at the same time risking his career. In my opinion Takumi is changed a little by little because of Hachi, but due to a misstep of Takumi now that they are seperated (future arc), but in the end they should be able to reconcile with each other, since they do under each other so well.

And stop saying Hachi is a moron and dumb; at first she was naive and kind of materialistic, but after she has becomes a mother (and a mother figure for Shin) she becomes a more wise and thoughtful person, who understands people around her very well and would not do things that would hurt people or her friends. And she now can cook very well. I think Hachi even has become a more powerful/stronger character than Nana (Osaki).
