How could Tosen be african AMERICAN when he's got a name like Tosen, and he's a dead guy? I didn't know ALL black people were AMERICAN. What, none from Europe? There's so much about this thread topic that opens up a can o' worms, but I've gotta say it's UUBer shallow (when we categorize all dark skinned and/or afro-haired and/or black-people-feature-sharing characters as being african american).
c'mon now....you can't have a swagger like that and be from Europe....those shades scream ATL....but on a serious note the topic strayed from African American....to just black, no ones really saying there american.....just black....it's common sense they're not american if they live in japan
and @ ahoaho..... at the end of the day no one looks they're race really...ichigo doesn't look japanase... and chad doesn't look mexican, you just have to use assumptions really.....dark skin = black....brown skin = mexican/latino...white skin = japanese
LOL @ evry post monstar maalik put up - but i have to agree w/ his las post because i thought it was fact yoruichi was african-american/asian or w/e. evry black character i've seen has had the stereotypical stuff, big lips, wide nose, hair that defy's gravity ect ect, but not all black people have those features... ... lyke me. (bsides hair, nothing my iron can't fix)
so when i saw yoruichi i was lyke "kayy" and now youre telling me she's moroccan. i think thats too specific, i mean theirs only so many ethnicities you can portray in a manga/anime
no offense to the moroccans.
and their is no way in hell a caucasian/asian person can reach that skin tone with out ending up in the ER with third degree burns
yoruichi has a Serious perm.
