Wouldn't mind shoujo, shounen, josei.
And well, it can be action, etc, but i want at least a tinge of romance. (:
For example, Gokusen, Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Basara, Slam Dunk, Anatolia Story, Skip Beat and nothing else comes to mind at the moment.

I think GTO fits perfectly.

we have the same type of stuff to read!! I can definitely recommend good stuff to read 4u.
let's start with my favorite: Hot Blooded Woman -- if you like tokyo crazy paradise, you'll defo like this. This is a manhwa by Hwang Mi Ri. It's 24 volumes long. Quite a read. If u end up liking this, i suggest to look for her other works coz i friggin love her.
This has a tinge of romance but no action, but this is still one of my favorites: Ouran High School Host Club is also on list for you. It's the funniest manga i've ever read and i truly enjoyed it. You might want to check out the anime as well. Hilarious.
Yoshihara Yuki is one of my favorite mangakas too. Her works are funny and romantic. You should defo check out her works too. My favorite is Aisuru Hito though it hasn't been fully scanlated yet. I'm not sure how many volumes are out.
Hana Kimi -- 145 chapters long
Full Metal Alchemist -- shounen, nothing at all for romance... but REALLY good. I loved this one so i hope you'll like this too
Tenjou Tenge -- 117 chapters ongoing -- has action and romance,, long enough just what you're looking for.. i started reading and watching this but i didn't get to finish it.
vampire knight -- 42 chapters -- it's getting to the action part now. it defo has romance. bishies galore!!
I cant' remember other good ones. I'll add more if i remember them
