I second Vanilla Ice, even though it's a oneshot, The Boyfriend Beside Me is pretty cool,Girl Got Game, Kimi to Himitsu no Hanazono, Tenshi Ja Nai!!, By Hero, Crossroad, Hush, Pheromomania Syndrome and Never Give Up! are good ones, read them all (: I hope you haven't, I didn't check your list. >_<

beauty pop.....rather then a strong personality i would say she has a cool personality and shes not really interested in guys.

Have you by any chance read Immortal Rain? It's a spectacular manga, and the heroine fits what you're looking for perfectly. It's an action/adventure romance series that is currently one of my favorite manga.
