Is chapter 31 truly the end? The plot doesn't seem resolved at all. Is it just an unhappy ending?

Edit: Sorry, I somehow missed chapter 32. How noobish of me. ^^;

But even chap 32 sorta felt unresolved.... I heard somewhere that the mangaka originally wanted it to be 5 volumes... dunno what happened with the publishers, but the end felt a bit rushed to me.

It did end a little too fast for me, but it isn't like the ending completely sucked. I just wish there were a few more chapters =/

The ending was fine. But they don't have to break up in the future.

I felt the ending was fine. Most open-ended endings don't work well with me... but I think this one does. Simple for the fact, that even though you know everything shouldn't work out and they'll eventually have all of these problems that they'll have to face. You want it to work out for them because they suit each others needs so well. He wants someone he can protect and she is broken. She fits him perfectly in that sense. And she needs someone who can love her for everything even after everything that has happened to her and he's that for her.

was an alright ending. i prefer resolution, but this one worked here summed up the whole coming to terms with the teen preg issue.

glad the prissy girl ended up being a decent person in the end, went from most hated -> favorite

Last volume seemed a bit rushed, but I still liked the unresolved issues that the ending left. I liked how the end thoughts weren't happy or sad they were just realistic, which is odd for a manga bigrazz

Still a great manga though. biggrin

I just hate open endings. Tis kind of endings make me remind of the mangaka of ichigo 100%, just seem to don't know how to end those great stories.
Bitter Virgin deserved a better ending, or is a sequel coming?

I don't see how a sequel would improve the ending? Yes, it's open. But the problems at the beginning were resolved.

I know exactly what you mean. It somehow feels like something is missing but I
cant put it in words, perhaps it would have been nice to follow their relationship a little more after they became finally a couple.
Also a look into the future would be great, perhaps 10 years after her giving bearth to a healthy baby or to the drag the drama on to dead baby biggrin but that wouldn't make
much sense.

I felt the ending was good. It didn't exactly wrap every thing up nicely, it left some questions and a feeling of wanting more, which I felt the author was going for.

Maybe, in the future, we'll see a one-shot detailing the future of Aikawa and Suwa.

I still feel, that even though its short, this is one of the best manga I have read.

Upon reading the authors short story in he final chapter, I felt a bit saddened to learn that the stillbirth storyline was taken from her own experience. However, I felt while reading that storyline that it was quite powerful, and accurate. I had wondered for awhile if it was taken from her own life, but to learn that it was left me with a melancholic feeling.

The ending was open but in a good way, especially compared to a bunch of the other endings that passed this year. It ended on a high note and it did not do a time skip, leaving huge gaps in the story. I'm not sure I'd call this last volume very rushed either since this series always had a fairly fast pace to it. Though I doubt it will happen, it does leave the door wide open for a sequel.
