Wasn't that great of a series but don't think it deserved being dropped and left with such a shitty ending :/

Probably the lack of interest in Japan is why the author decided to drop this project, that was the same case for Mx0 even though it was such a huge hit with the american population.

I was looking forward to them curing Troy... *sigh* Too many bad long series, and too many good short series that would be better if they were longer. But I loved Double Arts - was reading it for the 2 person fighting.

unfortunately i have a feeling you might be right on track with that too. it's not like oour opinions is really going to matter in such a case anyway.

This has been been a really bad year...so many potentially great manga ending prematurely...

oh man!! Why did this happen!? first it was mx0 then dogashi kaden now this!? they really are pouching my reading lists!

Well i hope that there would be a sequel because of what the chapter hints... I think in due time, the mangaka will definitely continue the story... i hope

Wow I didn't even realise that was Dogashi Kadens last chapter....

i knew this would happen. when i first read chapter 1 i felt that it wouldn't last long but i cant believe it happened just as the tension was building. =But i cant forgive what they did with dogashi kaden i mean that had potential a ton of it to be the next Slam Dunk.

Don't see why it comes as so much of a surprise. American TV shows have a harder time making it if they aren't something 'safe' that the general audience will be able to digest. The same applies to manga and anime. If ratings aren't good, they won't continue serialization. And here I was thinking it was increasing in popularity or something.

At least the author has seemingly shown his desire to continue the story at some point.

I dont see why you have to be so tragical... Dont get me wrong, it is a sound possibility but I prefer to think it as married and she deciding to write their memoirs and as for the he never understood, well I chuck it to those things that couples keep to themselves because they are embarrased to admit some things or are never brought up... Well, I suppose that it is obvious that I want to think of happy endings, I like tragedy as well but when I was reading the final chapter for some reason I had thought of a motif that I had only seen once; an old person sitting in the yard or something like that at evening starting a story about the past to a bunch of children around him - the story being a tradition history legend (everyone has one in the place they are from I think) - and when finishign the prologue and getting to the main part gets up and stops saying it's late or something to the effect that not much is known after that but here we are years later and... well you get the picture. And then after I thought of that just 3 pages later that mangaka shows her doing something very similar... This picture has a very nostalgic theme for me the one that gets you goosebumps and you feel an emptiness (basically this is the main thing I like and simultaneously hate tragedies) so just for the rest I want to think of a happy /success ending

Anyway she says up until now you never understand it which could imply that he is oblivious in that regret or something to that effect... To tell the truth I am not sure because either the translation is incorrect (as far as grammar is concerned) or the writer doesn't specify the tence

OMG i don't want it to end!! -cries like a spoiled brat-
I started reading this series at the first opportunity i could get and it has been at the top of my list ever since because of its originality in its fighting style, plot and even the characters have a bit of originality as well (which i think is hard to get because most shounens call for some stereotypical characters)
The fact that it got canceled right when it started to really get going was annoying and possibly the downer on my weekend Come on... they JUST started to fight by themselves and JUST gave a proper reason for the title of the series -.- Also this is the my first real encounter with SJ canceling a good series because of the long drawn out one piece/naruto/bleach kinds of series (don't get me wrong though, i do like naruto and one piece, but i think bleach should end..... its got too much fighting not enough plot... they also need to learn when to kill off an enemy and not convert it to an ally -.-)
Also i think its extremely unfortunate that it got cancelled because the semi-romance that could have evolved in this shonen series was rushed just so that the author could come up with a decent ending. If this series was to be continued, then the unexplained stuff could still be explained, so i don't have such a huge problem with that (HIGH hopes that the series continues)
But still, i still rate it as a 10/10 because all of its originality and all that other stuff i like about this series still trumps anything bad that came out of this sudden ending.
I'll be awaiting it's continuation!
