i wanna read this but....i dont want to jump ahead of the story or whatever, so do i have to read the prequel to understand whats going on in Worst?

or are the characters and story different?

I remember reading Worst a long time ago, and you don't need pre-knowledge at all. You can start without reading Crows, in my opinion.

No, you really don't need to read Crows at all to enjoy worst! As you can see from my avatar I'm a Worst fan and I've never read a single crows chapter.

Reading the 2nd half of Crows would help, especially when reading the earlier volumes of Worst, since lots of characters that get introduced in Crows are established characters in Worst. Unfortunately however, Crows scans aren't anywhere near the 2nd half. Later on, as the years pass, there's basically an entirely non-Crows cast, so by then it won't matter anymore. I'd read Crows anyway since it's great stuff, but Worst scans get priority so until those scans are up to date, Crows will always be second place.

i watched the Crows Zero I,II it was great, and it got me into Crows, i havent read Worst yet but i think that u dont need to, im a big Crows fan
