Pressing order by usefulness removes the option to vote if a comment is useful or not. This can be annoying if a spam comment is at the top, and the series has 20 pages of comments you would have to look through in date order to vote it down.

Also I'm not sure if the vote is actually registered, but voting on your own comment is a little biased. ^^

In my opinion, a review is useful when it covers three criteria: the actual story, character development and artwork. I already used the recommendation system and sometimes I guess it was pretty correct, but sometimes it was way off. I don't think comments like: "I liked it", "X is a really sweet story with a wonderful ending" and many others can be considered first recommendations.

Most of the time it's probably just a lack of data.

In the vein of this suggestion. Showing how many that thought a comment useful. If you had 1 person thinking it was good and it ended up on top due to that it would be easy to see it could still be worthless.

Kind of like Amazon does for its titles.
