Hanashi is an experienced scanlation group that has been actively scanlating since 2004. We are a group that focuses on quality, but not to the point where we insist on perfectionism. Some of our projects include Honeymoon Salad, Kurozakuro and Landreaall. Our biggest need is editors. We currently have only one active editor, compared to five active translators. Most groups have the opposite problem. That's one of the biggest advantages to joining our group versus other groups. Our website includes an archive of Japanese raws that draws a ton of people who know Japanese and have the potential to become translators if they are so inclined. That's why we have potential translators apply to join our group on a fairly regular basis. So if there is a manga out there that you've been dying to edit but just haven't been able to find a translator for it, you would have a better chance finding a translator with us than with most other groups. In the meantime, however, we would ask you to edit at least one of our existing projects that we need an editor for. Those projects are:

Avian Wander
Chisa x Pon

We are also looking for people who have experience editing shoujo mangas. We would love to expand into doing more shoujo, but the only thing stopping us is finding editors for those mangas, since it's hard to get shounen/seinen editors to want to edit shoujo.

We also need more English proofreaders. Proofreaders should have polished English writing skills and a full command of the English language. We only have one active proofreader at this time as well and we could desperately use more so she doesn't have to check all of our projects.

To apply please go to our recruiting page at http://www.hanashi.org/?q=node/30 and download our editing test. Those with plenty of editing experience that don't want to bother with the test can send us samples of past work instead.

Thank you for reading this, and we hope to hear from you soon!

Yeah, i hate to be a dick and all, but why waste your time doing V.B Rose when Tokyopop is already doing it, and so is some scanlation group. I just find it to be a waste of a scanlation when you guys could be doing anouther shoujo from the huge amount of japanese manga that still has yet to have an english translation.

Well, crap, if Tokyopop is doing VBrose then that's that... That doesn't change the fact that we're looking for shoujo editors though. There are a ridiculous amount of shoujo projects out there worth doing.
