I was curious about who's MU's pick for the Polaris prize would be. This isn't a very open topic -- the Polaris Music Prize is a Canadian award so I wouldn't be surprized if very few if anyone heard about some of these bands.
Past winners are Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy), and Patrick Watson. It's still a new award modeled after the UK Mercury Music Prize but for the 'best' album Canadian album of the year.
