I wonder if those paparazzi people had helped Ren if it would have made any difference. Do you think if they had called for help then Ren would still be alive?

Poor Nana. They were the couple I was rooting for but after seeing those future chapters, I knew something must have happened to make Nana isolate herself from everybody like that.

I'm not sure. I was thinking the same thing. I dislike those two for not even calling help for Ren. They were chasing him and saw that he crashed, so I suppose that there could of been a possibility that if they had called for help then Ren could of had a chance. BUT! NO! They had to be mean and just drive on.

I'm not sure that I believe that he's dead. Didn't we see him alive in the chapters that show Hachi & Co. seven years after Nana disappears? My guess is that Nana will be told that Ren is dead, crack, and then disappear. Ren will pull through, but Nana will not know about it...until Hachi & Co. find her seven years later. Unless Ren wasn't actually in 707 in those early "flash forward" chapters. In which case I'm sorry that I made a pointless prediction. *embarassed*

i hope they probaly pulled that dumb sh!t (like in other mangas)...if he isnt dead he'll probaly b in sum coma or sumthing thing or not in the car (im in denial)...was he in the chapters w/ hachi + extras??? i reallii dont remeber...what will NANA's reaction b???

Atleast one of the paparazzi (the female in the car, one of the two who witnessed the scene) wanted to save Ren, but she was eventually given a point that they would get arrested if the police suspected it was them who caused it. I wish they'd just save him without driving away, it'd make such a difference and un-affect the characters that are a part of Ren's life.
I'm glad that another paparazzi (that Minoru guy...) came along on his direction to Ren's house. I figured by the time he found Ren he'd be dead, his car looked completely busted and he probably would've froze to death at the same time.
Well, our answer to chapter 77's cliffhanger has been answer. Ren is dead. Takumi made it really clear... and they all decide to keep it a secret from Nana, they're so cruel and Ren is important to her! Wouldn't they just tell her and help her fight through it?! No wonder why she ran away, she probably got sad and angry that everyone knew it but her!
I also partially blame Reira, for running away, not thinking of what huge mess she could cause in an instant.
I just feel horrible for Nana, and on her Birthday? How could she handle the news? Poor Nana. TT__TT

Just to clear a misunderstanding, we never got to see Ren in the future chapters. Yes, they talked about a Ren, but the Ren they were talking about was Satsuki's brother, Takumi and Hachi's other child. He was named after Ren. I don't know for certain if he's Hachi's child though. Might be Reira's? or maybe even Shins? I think he looked pretty much like Shin. I don't know, haha... but oh well, back to topic... I kinda expected this to happen after reading those future shots because they talked about Ren as if he was dead, so I wasn't surprised. Well, I was actually, just a little. I was surprised at the fact that it happened so soon, right on Nana's 21st birthday.
